Just checking in to say hi. I've not forgotton about my good friends here, just still having an awful time, and still fighting the NHS for treatment for my son. It's horrible seeing him unwell and no one caring, so haven't been able to think about myself for a while.

    Thinking of you all,

hi alba, been thinking of you and marc, hope you get the treatment he needs very soon, nobody in this day and age should have to fight for health services that they need.

    big hugs

I dont think its a case that no one in the NHS cares. They have some wonderful people but unfortunately the NHS is a horrible inefficient dinosaur when it comes to organisation and treatment. The management is appalling and so it is always a fight to gwet ant treatment unless you are savvy enough to collapse in the street and get taken in by ambulance.
    Good luck with your son.
Who I am is not important. What I do is.

hi mezer, do u have any hobbies that you enjoy that could take your mind off things for a while. drinking all day isnt really the answer, and wont do your health much good. (i used to be a big drinker too, and know how your feeling, so i wont lecture)

Thanks Shaz. I know, it's all a postcode/consultant lottery we're caught up in. He's been so exhausted when he comes in from school he just sleeps, and has fallen behind there now too, so far he's has to drop one subject and it's now looking like he may need to postpone all his exams a year. It was his birthday yesterday, and he was just so tired and sad, not how it should be when you turn 16.

Been thinking of youn and the boys too. Hope you are feeling a bit stronger now, I read back a couple of pages and saw things haven't been great.

To be honest in this case that's how it seems. My problem is I'm finding it harder and harder to encourage and keep him motivated, as there isn't anything positive happening at all. The people that have shown they don't care are the only ones who can make a difference. I'm going through the official complaints process, but all I want is the treatment and care everyone deserves, not a long drawn out complaint process.

They are beating him slowly to the ground, and not only will he have ill health he's being psychologically scared by this experience too. And if they don't decide to help him fast it could get to the stage it's beyond repair.

I know not the whole NHS is the same, we have just been very unlucky.

have struggled a bit last couple of days, yesterday especially, but i got through it. just feels so hard sometimes, cos i dont get a break, they need constant supervision, been lucky today, as mum knew how bad i was getting, and had them for a couple hours this afternoon, to enable me to get out alone and meet friends at my craft group, only the weekend to go, and back to school

    hugs

I know, it's really awful you don't get a break. Did you see your MP?

I'm glad you got out this afternoon though, even a couple of hours break is better than nothing. But there should be proper care in place during holidays, it's just not right. Our schools were only off 3 days this week.

Hope the weekend goes ok, and you can relax a bit more on Monday.
