I note that AB has posted again.
AB seems to be a Troll, which can be confirmed by reading through his/her other contentious posts. It was as a result of AB's previous inflamatory posts that the Abuse Team became involved.
I propose to ignore all posts by AB, and respectfully request that s/he refrains from posting on this thread.:A FLY FIRST, KNIT LATER :A0 -
absolutebounder wrote: »Yes I welcomed them. There are two disciplines in my therapy Authorative and permissive. Because most of my clients dont have time for depression when they come to me they expect to be told what to do. This is the same as when I speak to my solicitor At £250 plus vat I ask what the legal position is and he tells me bluntly. Some people dont like that approach and so with them I use the much softer and waffling permissive approach. Now I cant use both here can i ?
The users of MSE and this thread in particular are not your clients and do not need or indeed want to be spoken to by you, bluntly or waffling, they want to be able to post what is going on in their day to day life without a lecture or physo-babble from anyone. I'm not sure why this is so hard for you to understand.
It has been made clear that meds and alternative therapies are not up for discussion and this includes you and your therapy, please listen to what the users of this thread are saying.0 -
I have used the ignore facility so that I can join in this thread without being distressed any further by Absolute Bounder. I suggest you all do the same."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Hi, I have just found this thread.
I have been put on a different medication for depression and I realise that meds are not a topic of discussion on here.
Could anyone suggest a website/forum that I could find out more about these particular meds? They have a restricted diet and I need as much info as I can get.
Thanksmrs tooti-frooti0 -
Hi Mrs Tootifrooti! [STRIKE]It is my understanding that Meds can be discussed, as they are part and parcel of depression.[/STRIKE] Edited - thanks for letting me know, Rosepink - before I put my foot in it!!
Someone posted a link earlier - lifewithoutlimitsforum.com, I think - they may have info, personally I haven't looked. But hope this helps!
ETA: Hiya Rosepink, honey!! You ok today? Great idea re the ignore button. Personally, I'm going to keep a beady eye out for the blighter!!:A FLY FIRST, KNIT LATER :A0 -
Sorry to contradict you ZCC but we aren't allowed to discuss meds or sideaffects on here. For one thing the site could get into trouble with drug companies and it's the policy of this site not to allow discussion on meds. Hope you find some where to get info Mrs Tooti-frooti, sorry I can't help on this.
Welcome to the thread tho, and welcome to all other newcomers. Hope you get the support you need here."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

I'm feeling very tired now because I was on a course today, but it was very enjoyable and interesting! It was about diversity and equality and how we can't disciminate against people. Actors acted out scenes and we had to comment on what happened. We could ask them questions and give them advice, and one of the scenes was rerun with the woman who was being sexually harrased carrying out the suggestions we gave her. It was good.
DH is going out this evening but I'm too tired to go. Am going to relax this evening. Have got a sprained shoulder and it really hurts and has got really stiff so I need to go and get my wheatbag!
Hope everyone is well tonight - hugs to all xx"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Hello all!
I haven't posted on here for a while but I wanted to share with you that I have been making an effort to do some exercise and it is making the world a much, much better place for me.
I haven't cried in 2.5 weeks which is a HUGE change for me.
Walking doesn't work for me bc I start thinking so I do short workouts while the kids are playing happily/sleeping.
I am still on ADs of course. I'm not saying exercise is a miracle cure but it helps me tremendously and I hope someone else can find encouragement from my 'testimony'."Finish each day And be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and Absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."

Personally I find some of AB´s posts interesting, as they offer a different way of looking at things. I would say that if they don´t help you - we´re all different after all - hit ignore.
Anyway, hi everyone - sorry for the long silence, have finally got my living situation sorted out, me and my kitty are happily settled in a lovely little flat. How´s my little girl LadyM doing in her new home?0
