Personally I find some of AB´s posts interesting, as they offer a different way of looking at things. I would say that if they don´t help you - we´re all different after all - hit ignore.

This is what I think too. Its interesting to get a different point of view. Sometimes AB will say something to make me think that he's wide of the mark and doesn't quite understand depression, but other times he will say something that makes me stop and think because he has hit the nail on the head.

If you don't agree or don't like his posts then, as has been said, use the ignore button.

Hi Loobyloose!:hello: Don't worry about posting. There are some lovely people here and its quite anonymous because no one knows who you are, after all.

Where's Tiff? Im in need of smarties and some feline input!:p

Hi, I have just found this thread.

I have been put on a different medication for depression and I realise that meds are not a topic of discussion on here.

Could anyone suggest a website/forum that I could find out more about these particular meds? They have a restricted diet and I need as much info as I can get.

    Thanks

morning all, hope everyone is ok this morning, i'm still feeling under the weather after having a tooth out last week, and getting an infection in the wound. the first lot of anti biotics didnt work and i had a terrible reaction to them and ended up seeing the emergency doctor late wednesday night. went back to dentist yesterday and they said infection has got worse and put me on max dose of peniccilin, hope it clears up once and for all, fed up of it now

good news, managed to book a sun holiday for august bank holiday week, so we have five hols booked this year, first one being a week on monday, really looking forward to it, it'll be mine and ian's first hol together

    hugs

patient.uk is really good for everything health related. Its what the nurses and emergency doctors use to give you a print out!

Woke up this morning to Sam bringing me tea in bed. Awwwz! I found that incredibly sweet. And just to think, he didn't know how to make a cuppa until he met me. :rotfl:

Sam and I will have the house to ourselves for a weekend at the end of May and we're hoping to go to Porlock for a weekend too. :D Should be great. Can't wait.

Also, my family are being right twonks so going to change my number asap so that I don't have to read their complete and utter twoddle. :)

I dont think you have any real idea of what anyone is going through or do I think you are any sort of professional. Heaven help any one who really feels like this that ever comes to you for advice, help or support as you seem incapable of any of the above.
Bounder stopped me snoking and was very professional witty and articulate. I think you have never met him so are spouting bile out of malice.

With all due respect Lita, neither have you met XXJoXX. I don't think her post was meant out of malice. Both her and me and quite a few other people found his comments upsetting. However, in order to stop this argument lets remember this advice in the first post:
If this support thread on MSE is to continue it must be remembered that not all posters on this thread will always be able to express their feelings in a nice, sociable way.

If you find the posts of any particular member difficult to deal with then the ignore facility is available. Just as one person may not be in a place where they can post 'nicely', another may not be in a place where they are able to read said posts.

I really don't want this argument about AB to continue. I think we are all going to have to disagree on it - some of us enjoy his posts and some of us don't. Let's leave it there and talk about depression and how we can support each other, which is after all why we are here!

Hope everyone is well and going to have a good weekend.
