Thinking about going to see the GP,but feel then I have failed, can`t afford the prescription anyway!

Please don't see it this way. If you had appendicitis then you would go to hospital and get it sorted, if you had a cold you would get cold remedies and tissues and in the same way if you have depression you see your doctor and he will tell you if you need medication and perhaps counselling. There is no failure - it shows you are strong and want to beat your illness and your doctor can help you do it.

If you and your husband are going to be without a job then you need to be as fit as you can, so please see your GP asap. Could you get help with your prescriptions? I don't know your financial position but some people are entitled to free prescriptions. Discuss this with your doctor too.

All the best and big hugs.

I agree that bounder has been screwed. There sems to have been a sudden influx of people recruited by rosepink from the weekly flylady thread ie xx_jo_xx , ZCC72 and Mrs tootifrooti. All new to this thread
I did not recruit anyone. I've mentioned this thread many times to my friends on other threads, telling them it is a good place to come to get support for dealing with their depression problems. As a result of this some may have been reading but not posting. I mentioned (again to friends) that someone on another thread had upset me and a few responded by asking about it, but I did not ask anyone to post on here - on the contrary when they said they were going to post (after reading what had been said on here and making their own minds up) I asked them to be careful as I did not want to cause any upset.

I do not want anyone to leave, including AB and Sssss. I decided to leave but then decided instead to use the ignore facility. This way we can all get on much better. Other people have contacted me by PM and said they had stopped posting on here as they felt they were getting ripped to shreds by AB and couldn't cope with that. I hope they will post on here again, and use the ignore facility if they feel they need to do so.

I would really like to move on from this. I'm very sorry that we have had this problem. Someone upset me, I was in tears and explained how they made me feel. I never intended for it to become a huge row with people taking sides. I merely expressed my personal opinion.
Please, let's stop arguing and give each other the help and support that we need.

ETA: Mrs Tooti-frooti does not post on the flylady thread, she is new here and like all newcomers very welcome

    Heya everyone.

Been feeling very nauseous lately, which is really annoying me. Not sure if it's just part of the glandular fever.Been feeling very fragile and "moody" too. The slightest thing is setting me off in tears. =/

    Hope everyone is doing okay.

    xx

Personally I would prefer that you didn´t go, AB. I don´t agree with everything you say, and I will admit that I disliked your posts on one of the other boards, but here I have seen another side of you. Some of your comments are interesting, thought-provoking and useful to me.

I am not on any ´side´, but suspect that what is happening here is that by the very nature of the illness we can all be very sensitive at times and feel that we are being attacked personally when nothing of the sort is intended. It´s happened to me on other forums. Please, all those who don´t like AB´s posts just put him on ignore, and please, AB, keep on posting.
My last post. I guess it will make some peoples day. It appears I have upset some people by writing my views in a truthfuil manner and for that I apologise. Like Ssssss and others I have been getting increasingly fed up with spending time writing posts and answers that then get deleted for very dubious reasons just because a board guide or abuse acts on advice of a mob with a different agenda.
I think I misunderstood the ambiguous title of depression support. I thought it was to support those trying to find a way out of the misery of depression but it appears it is to support and maintain depression itself.
For those of you who want change and a happier life my PM box will be open.
For those that dont all I can say is carry on doing what you are now.
    Kind regards to all
