Can you use a voucher on a first date? poll discussion

As a man I don't really see a problem with voucher use. If I was taken on a first date and she wanted to use a voucher I really wouldn't have a problem with it. However, if it was me paying for the date I'd choose not to use one even if I had it available.

I guess it depends on how hard up you are too but frankly if I was struggling for money that much I wouldn't be taking her out on a date to start with.

being an avid pizza express fan i absolutely love 2for1! i actually only go out for food if i can get money off the bill so doing it on a first date would be perfectly fine for me. I mean he's paying afterall, i'd be more offended if he asked to go dutch especially if the man had invited me out!

Anyway i went on a lunch date on Valentine's day and we're going to go out for food next week, i will definately being taking a voucher!

haha, my first date with my wife was at Pizza Express; she asked to pay half and i made the terrible mistake of saying 'sure'.. doh!

Anyway, that was 3 years ago and I don't get to go dutch anymore!

My hope is that, in a year, if a man doesn't pay with a restaurant voucher on a first date, she won't go with him again because she'd think he wasn't safe enough handling money.

Heard Matthew properly now and he said that Martin Lewis said that women should dump their man if they use vouchers on the first date!
