It's a clever way for Bob to give his date the bush off, what a great insult.:rotfl: Either that or he's a prize nerd.0

Hi
I have restarted the poll as there was an errant option which i'd left in (though i should never interfere with technology as it messes up and im struggling to get the options done)Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.

Not so much that it's being tight, just that it's not too romantic.
I've voted that it doesn't matter, though I don't think he should do it. I'd say he should take her to a place that doesn't do vouchers (so it would be a treat for him, too, as he wouldn't normally go there!) and then if things are going well he could slip into conversation that maybe next time he'd take her to such-and-such which he's got a voucher for.0 -
I agree with Jimmythewig to some extent. It is all to do with communication - he just looks tight if he hasn't had a sort of laugh about it FIRST. The date doesn't know if he really is a tight g*t, or someone who is good with money.0

When I took the bird that is now my missus on a first date, I took her for a drink in a Spoons because "the drinks are cheap in here". Didn't put her off, but then again I have a charming personality, good looks and a massive ......I wonder why it is, that young men are always cautioned against bad girls. Anyone can handle a bad girl. It's the good girls men should be warned against.-David Niven0

I think it gives a poor first impression, like he's not trying very hard to impress her. This is a bit contradictory of me really, as I like the fact that my man is sensible with money, but would like to see a bit of genorosity on the first date at least. Although I am happy to pay half on dates (well I was before I was married lol), using a voucher just doesn't look good for some reason.0
