If this company has closed down why can you still buy their broadband service? They have a nice website 'providing a great deal'
All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.
  • silkyuk9-if you dont believe me go and buy their product. you won get anything from them but more than likely they will still charge you, trust me. try one of their numbers, its 01243200150-it should come up with the message"we are currently having technical difficulties please try later" or words to that affect. the md of the company is DAVE REYNOLDS as ive said before, the man is a con merchant who has stole from charities, avaded taxes and is a thief. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN ANY MORE MONEY!i am owed £3000 but more than likely i will not see a penny of this-i work for my family and i ave been left jobless and face losing my/and my daighters home!NEVER FORGET THE NAME DAVE REYNOLDS, HE IS A FILTHY CON MERCHANT

likeastar-I can assure you that this company has closed down. i only hope you werent conned by this company for too long which happened to 000's of customers nationwide. i was a field based engineer that worked for satellite direct/sat cover ltd/sat link services/something corproration.the md or owner of all these companys was Dave Reynolds. i can assure you that i knew nothing of the corrupt ways the company operated until the closure. i have many, many customers that were happy with my work and the way i spoke to them/give them advice. i can only apologise to all for the way the companies treated all customers.any questions you may have please feel free to post and iwill answer them.
how do i get tag removed from line as i am unable to change providers untill this is done and who is keeping my lines active as istill have internet connection and a phone service (not VOiP)
  • Latest developments, I wrote to them giving them 7 days to respond otherwise I would hold them in breach of contract and move my custom elsewhere. No response so direct debit cancelled and bank instructed to refuse any further debits by all associated companies. A formal complaint was lodged with OTELO. Their investigation is on hold as OFCOM are investigating 'Something' and there trading status is undefined.

I have moved my phoine and broaodband service to BT and the installation is taking place early December. In the meantime I still have a broadband connection and incoming phone. Something gave me 6 months free due to the set up hassle so in real terms I have only paid £14.99, which is a bargain!

The main difficulty was not having a MAC code to migrate the service but BT have resolved this.
  • A slight change of tack, I have their Wi Fi system operating on my camp site and surprise I have not seen a penny of my share of the proceeds. Is anyone aware of how I can change the firmware in their Wifi units from something which I think no longer works, to something that does?
  • Another point, if you go to the something website and click on wireless it now takes you to a site called WIfi Hotzone, whats that about?
  • In 2007 I took out a 3 year agreement with Sattelite Direct , a special offer for £130. Soon after our Sky Box went 'caput' and on reporting, a new one was provided and fitted. A faultless service.
In September this year I received a letter from Something quoting my agreement number and saying they were renewing my agreement for 3 years for £130 and that my account would be debited using my debit card details.
I had never heard of Something and as far as I was aware I had no agreement with them, and of course the original agreement I had with Sattelite Direct still had a year to run. To my horrow the £130 had been taken from bank a/c on 8/9/09 and I received the Something letter on 21/9/09.
Emails initially produced no response but then someone called Garry rang and agreed that the £130 was not due and would be refunded. No refund so more emails and a letter, still no response. Phone calls to 01243 200150/1 say the numbers "are not recognised".
So I suppose I have lost my £130.
