    The Starter Edition isn't going to be available retail, so you don't have to worry about the application limit. Home and Professional are what's going to be predominantly on the shelves. Nice, simple choice for anyone going into a shop to buy it, well done again MS!

    I do seem to recall however, that some of the Microsoft fans on here took me to task a while ago for suggesting that it might be better if Microsoft made their Windows editions simpler.

    that doesn't look a bad lineup, basically home premium and professional on the shelves of pcworld and the other box-shifters, with the other versions available at specialists/hardware vendors etc..
