Im off 2 asda now to stock up on ther free curries from the curry pot counter, ive made sure ive eaten my dinner first so im not tempted by all the goodies on display.

Hi, everyone - I've wandered over from the OS board - and am back on the wagon with SW. Lost weight with it 2 years ago but slipped. Tried WW last year but was always hungry - I need my snacks!!!! - plus ds1 got rather obsessed with points through listening to me and dh and he's 10 and built like a stick insect. So it's back to SW where we can all eat fantastic meals as a family - and I HAVE to stick to it this time - nearly 6 stone to lose!!!!!

Enjoying the board and all your support. Made the blueberry cheesecake from the new magazine last night as we had friends round for dinner and everyone loved it - and no-one guessed it was SW. I used cottage cheese as Tesco had run out of Quark but it was still great.

Red day today - bacon butties for brunch and a huge piece of gammon and new potatoes for dinner.

  • I everyone, I'm a complete "Newbie" both to MSE (although I have been nosying around the site for a little while) and to SW. I joined MSE just yesterday and this is my very first post ever (little nervous)! also joined SW on Thursday this week after seeing my profile reflected in a full length mirror - ouch, something has to be done! I also saw the success story articles in the SW magazine, Lydia.42, and I'm really encouraged to give this dieting thing my best shot and I think the scrap book with photo's is a brilliant idea. Only trouble with that is would the photo developers recoil in horror at the sight (don't have digital camera) and have me charged with bringing the human form into disrepute? :o:o

Hi newbies! Welcome. I have 4 stone to lose and have been dieting 4 weeks on Monday 3rd April (SW online).
I lost 4 lb first week and have since been as good as gold (even exercising), but haven't lost anymore. I haven't touched a single thing I shouldn't have. So my weight is either going to drop off overnight, or has got so used to being with me its stuck tight to my bones!!!!!!!
I swallowed a fly tonight (really!) on the way home from the cinema. It was only a greenfly thingy, but after last weeks spider that I ate, I was wondering if subconciously I am hungrier than I at first imagined????

I found this when i tried sw i started going with my sister and i wasnt losing a thing i went from 5-15 sins and i couldnt understand it the leader then said try more but i was fed up because it was quite a few weeks of me not losing my sister was losing so the diet does work but looking back i think i wasnt eating enough free food because since joining ww ive lost 17 and a half pounds and i eat more than what i used to before dieting
so try eating more free food you might be surprised
my friend whose also at sw puts grapes, melons, bananas, kiwi etc in a bowl and put a vanilla muller light on top and its really nice(i had it when i was on sw and still do on ww but i have to count the points) its free on sw
dont lose heart its finding your balance and what suits you
when you have found that your on your way
