Good morning guys. Another night of not sleeping well. Managed to stay in bed for the last 3 hours pretending to sleep, but then had to get up and get my fix here.
Just wanted to say well done everyone on this weeks losses, and hello to the recent additions to the board :j
Also, i bought the May/June SW mag yesterday. Only read some of it so far, but wanted to advise all those new to SW who can't go to a class to buy this issue. Not only does it give info on the red/green days, healthy options, syns, etc which you can use in conjunction with the web site (password kindly provided by these lovely peeps here), but it has an amazing story of a woman who lost nearly 7 stone. I know that there are often stories like this in the mag, but this one was different and really inspired me with her fantastic simple idea. A scrap book of your goals, and photo's, etc. Check it out, even if you are not doing SW, it's such an inspiring story and idea.
I am going to buy myself a scrap book later today (haven't had one of those since school, long time ago), and get OH to take photo of me, now at my heaviest. I have really struggled in the past to keep focused and motivated, but think this is just what i need (as well as you guys here of course
).
Have a great day everyone.

Hi All,
Thanks for all your support. I did ok yesterday, took my lunch with me to Ideal Home Exhibition, so was able to keep that low point (I'm on ww). Then when we went out last night I had a turkey escalope with new potatos and salad (I must confess to a bit of mayonnaise with that tho!). So wouldn't have done too much damage.
I am going to make up a big vat of no point soup today and have it for lunch, but keep some to have before we go out, so I am not starving when we get to the restaurant. Hopefully that means I will choose slightly healthier choices and not eat so much.
Will let you all know how I get on.Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -
Lydia, the scrap book idea sounds like a good one altho I hate seeing photos of myself so will have to grin and bear it for the sake of motivation! Hopefully it will have the desired effect and make me want to lose weight! :T Will buy the mag too as I am in need of an explaination of whats going on - LOL!!
I am sat here munching quorn sausages, which i always thought were quite filling but realised i was having them in a sandwhich with marg, probably ketchup and often a fried egg! You just don't realise what rubbish you can munch on without really thinking about it!
What sort of weighting is alcohol on the SW plan? I am afraid that is another one of my weaknesses!
Thanks for the recipies everyone!! :jOfficial DFW Nerd 2100 -
Lydia - I read the same article and was inspired too. Straight after I went out and bought a tape measure (i've been saying for ages I am going to do that) and recorded measurements in a diary. Was also considering getting a scrap book too - its a good motivational read and I'd also recommend it to others to read.
Flis - Well done with the willpower last night, only one more night to get through!
Rachie - a glass of wine (not a goldfish bowl size glass - like the ones I use!) are around 4-5 syns. A measure of spirits (a pub measure - again not the generous ones I pour!) are around 2 1/2, so you can have twice as many spirits for a glass of wine!!! :rotfl: Alcopops are v high - I think WKD is around 12 syns and bacardi breezers are similar - maybe slightly lower. If you must have wine and not spirits how about making it a spritzer and using half diet tonic or diet lemonade - I'm not fussed on this myself but its better than not having it at all :rotfl:0 -
Rachie - i now what you mean about the photos. My OH has lots of me with my hand across the lens or held up to block the piccie. :rotfl:
Well done Flis on the self control, and good luck for tonight. What's he building in there???
