I am also doing slimming world diet and love it. Ive lost 11lbs in 5 weeks.

To those who love green days try making a pasta quiche- gorgeous

Make up a packet of batchelors pasta n sauce WITHOUT THE BUTTER (make sure its free) - once cooked place in the bottom of a flan dish.

beat up 3-4 eggs, add a tub of cottage cheese and any veg you like. Pour over the pasta and bake in the oven at 180 degrees until the egg has set.

Hi Amyaris - thanks for the recipe - it sounds great. I was just saying the other day I'd got bored of the SW ones I was making so this is great, thank you! Any more !!???

    Argghhhhh - Help!

Hubby's birthday yesterday. He wanted to go to Pizza hut for lunch (all you can eat buffet!). I did quite well, had a plate full from the salad bar, with two tiny pieces of margherita pizza. Then did the fatal second trip and ended up with two more pieces of pizza (one spicy beef, one margherita). Then we went to the theatre in the afternoon and had ice cream in the interval. Then when we came home had a slice of hubby's thorntons toffee birthday cake.

All in all a really bad day. Now today I am off to the ideal home exhibition, although I think I will make and take my lunch with me, as I don't know what they have there.

Problem is tonight we are off out to dinner with my parents and tomorrow night we are going out to dinner with friends. I don't want this to turn into a disastrous week weight wise, but don't see what I can do really. Any ideas?

    Good Morning All
Thanks for the support yesterday - I continued to have a bad day food wise sort of gave up for the day. Today I feel better, I've opened the curtains and the sun is dancing around the garden. It's the last day of term so next week I'll see more of my children. They are growing up too fast 15 & 17 already!!
    Have a good weekend.

flis21, can you not fill up before any meal event, with some homemade veggie soup? You can take a flask if need be, and then maybe you'll not eat as much as you would have done.
I'm being as good as gold and exercising, yet its not showing on the scales at all :(

Cotsvale - I'm glad you are feeling better today. Its a nice sunny day here too - it instantly lifts your mood doesn't it? Enjoy spending time with your children - mine are 3 and 7 - can I send them round too!! :rotfl:

Flis - I had that problem a few weeks back when it was my OH bday and then we went away for the weekend. I stuck to fruit and yogurt during the day and ate the meal that i wanted in the evening. (I tried to pick a reasonably healthy one but didn't restrict myself). To be honest i stayed off the drink, just had a few. Maybe you could drive and then that wouldn't be so bad?
Don't deprive yourself though - it will make you crave things more and could ultimately lead to you going off track. Put yesterday behind you - how about having free foods as part of the meal - eg melon for starters? It might not be as bad as you think - can you get to see the menu before you go - that way you can plan what you are going to have and work the rest of the day around it? Good luck - and have a good weekend!

Same to everyone - have a great "slim" weekend!!
    Xo

After the take away disaster last night I have decided to be as good as I can be today! So far today I have had boiled rice for brekkie (not too bad and all i could think of instead of toast!!) and am just cooking myself a pasta dish, just gonna boil pasta and put a jar of tesco value tomatoe sauce over it with onions, pak choi and corgettes - got no idea how to cook the onions or pak choi tho if I cant fry em?? --- I will have to get creative I think!!

Oh no - i have just looked up the value of the sauce and its 4 and a half syns!! I will put it back in the cupboard I think and just have the veg!

I have some of those bags of microwave steamfresh vegetable so that may be nice!??
