    ((((((HUGS)))))) to you Cotsvale
It's only a day that's scuppered, not the rest of the week ;) Easier said than done I know but try to put it out of your mind and focus on tomorrow. It's when we browbeat ourselves that the diet is most at risk.
Now that it's off your chest (so to speak), keep positive - you give lots of support on here to others :)

Ashamed to say I stayed the same again, right it's time for a stricter approach.... I have been messing around at the same weight since the end of Jan, I was pleased not to have piled on loads on holiday but I need to get my finger out and lose some weight.

I am now 12. 2 I have lost 1 stone 1and a half and I need 4lbs for my 10% target and I want to be under 10 stone by July....

Well done to everyone who has lost weight this week, especially if you got chocolate for mother's day, I blame the party food left in the fridge but really it's my fault for putting it there and picking at it.:o

    Hi everyone!

I joined this thread before when I joined WW last summer, I did really well for about 3 weeks then went on holiday, came back and tried for a week or so then went on another holiday... blah blah blah and by xmas I had given up! :o

Anyway, I have piled the pounds back on and really need to do something about it -- A friend of mine has suggested that SW suited her better than WW and that she would lend me all the books etc so I could see what I needed to do but have been having a nose around at the website and wondered if anyone here could point out how to begin, i.e. how to work out how many syns a day to have and whether its a red or green day etc... oh and is any other vegetarians doing it??

Lets hope I can go to the beach this summer cos the way I am feeling right now I may just go camping, and wear the tent!!

    Hi Rachie77 - Welcome Back!!
There are a few of us doing SW and a few threads back JenniTels mentioned she was veggie so she will be able to help you out - green days will be perfect for you. The SW password to access it online this week is ONION, so that will get you started. With regards to syns they say you can have between5 and 15 a day. I never get to 15, normally average around 5 - unless I am going somewhere when i save them up or use flexibe syns. To maximise your weight loss I would stick to lower syns, If you use more then your weight loss will be slower. Good Luck!

Cotsvale - get a good night sleep hun, tomorrow is a whole new day when you can start all over - put today behind you. Hugs to you x

Well Done to all those who lost weight this week :T :T
Nearlyrich - at least it wasn't on, best foot forward for this week!

((HUGS)) Cots, hope you are ok, and as Honey said 'tomorrow is another day'.

Well Done all for the weight losses/staying the same.

Lets hope I can go to the beach this summer cos the way I am feeling right now I may just go camping, and wear the tent!!

This made my night. :rotfl: This is exactly how i felt when i weighed myself this week, and found i had put on 9lb through bingeing, a wedding, staying in a hotel for weekend and having pub lunch and fry up in morning.

But it's the shock i needed to knuckle down. Have been referring to my old SW book religiously this week.

    Good luck everyone.

Rachie77 - Honey is right, SW would be perfect for you.
On a green day you can bascially have unlimited pasta/rice/spuds/fruit/veg/beans/lentils - so long as you don't add fat during cooking, etc. Then you can use your healthy A's & B's for cheese/bread and all your syns for nice things. Think i may go veggie again :D
    Welcome and good luck!

I am also doing slimming world diet and love it. Ive lost 11lbs in 5 weeks.

To those who love green days try making a pasta quiche- gorgeous

Make up a packet of batchelors pasta n sauce WITHOUT THE BUTTER (make sure its free) - once cooked place in the bottom of a flan dish.

beat up 3-4 eggs, add a tub of cottage cheese and any veg you like. Pour over the pasta and bake in the oven at 180 degrees until the egg has set.

Thanks for the hints about SW - At least i know how many syns to aim for! its a new concept to me to be able to eat as much as you want on some things as I have been used to weighing food and stuff and counting everything with WW!

dieting is always a toughie for me (as I am sure it is everyone else) as i have to kind of balance making quick and easy food, yet keeping it healthy for me and the kids, yet its got to be edible by the kids and my OH, and they aren't veggies... so in short I usually have to think of a meal, take chilli con carne for example where we can all eat the same thing and i can have a veggie version, but the kids not very keen on vegetables (they still small so i am persevering!) - it makes making dinners a nightmare unless we all eat seperate meals! LOL!

Rachie hangs head in shame as she had a chinese takeaway tonite - pretty rubbish for the 1st day!! I gotta invest in some decent scales too....!!

For those on Slimming World the new password is "onion".

I went back tonight - well "slunk" is a better word after 3 or 4 weeks - dreading the scales

    I lost 4 and a half pounds!!!!!:j

Have decided to make up a scrapbook of SW recipes from the mags so that I can find them easily and then it feels like a recipe that I have found and want to try - rather than something I HAVE to do!

    Lets hope that it helps!!
