This weeks slimming world password is coffee if any 1 needs it, but im pretty sure the old ones r still working too.

Had a bad day yesterday, went out 4 dinner and tucked into roasties, yorkshire puds, mash :'( i did resist a pudding tho so i did try 2 be good...lol
    backon the wagon today tho

I also agree with the 2lb a week weight loss being better in the long run, well its what my nurse told me who weighs me every week and its more likely to stay off! ( hope shes telling me the truth)...lol

Good luck to every 1 this week

    Hi guys

I agree with the 1-2lb a week. All the slimming mags seem to quote it, and it is best to lose slow and steady. 7lbs in 4 weeks is great :j . Do you have a lot to lose Lilaclillie?

They do say that if you have lots to lose, you lose faster at the start, but if you only have a relatively small amount to lose it will be slower (obviously no amount of weight is small when you aren't happy with yourself, but you know what i mean :o )

Do you watch Celeb fit club? All the larger people on that lost loads to start off with.

Congrats NixNoo and Thriftmonster on the losses, and keren29 for staying the same
    Good luck for tomorrow Flis

Weighed in this morning, check out the sig update . I know this is only due this being my first week, and it's mainly water. Aiming for 1-2lbs next week

    Good luck everyone

WOW Lydia.42!!! Well done you. Are you a SW or WW member or going it alone? Just think, you'll be in the next category soon so your scales will be in the 16's before you know it. Keep it up.
Am I talking to myself or wot?!

Thanks NixNoo. Can't remember the last time i was in the 16's!!!!

I am doing SW. I have joined a few times over the years, but stick at it for about 3-4 weeks, then lose motivation. Also lose money each time on the joining fee, so am doing it with the help of these guys on here, on-line using password from here and a copy of their manual, and buying the SW mags.

I had a clear out, and i think i must have about 3 copies of the current SW manual - if anyone wants one, please feel free to pm me and i will happily post to you.

Just hope that by seeing it in writing here, and with all us guys supporting each other, i will last longer than a month!!! :rotfl:

I have 4 st to lose, that's why I think 7lb in 4 wks is pretty poor, for the work I've put in anyhow. I thought having so much to lose, at least a stone would have gone by now, then the 1 or 2 lbs a week.

Rachie77, the alternative to scales is to measure yourself, but be aware that weightloss looks faster than inchloss, although maybe about the same if you do it in cm rather than inches?

Lilac, I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy with your loss. Would trying a different diet help? I find it much harder to stick to a calorie counting diet but if you're eager to get a loss before you go maybe you could try something like that - if you have the will power!

Are you on SW? I've forgotten already. I tried a bit of the SW success express principle for a week and had a signifcant loss, though i only lost 1lb the week before so maybe that was it. Metabolisms are funny things. I always keep my fingers crossed when i get on the scales even when i've been really good because you just never know!

Nothing good is ever very easy - we all seem to be losing weight at different paces despite being on similar diets. Bodies are weird.

Incidentally i'm going to try making Cheeky's lemon cake tomorrow that she posted the recipe for ages ago. The can of chick peas has been in my cupboard for weeks looking sad but i've finally got time to make it (and finally remembered to buy lemon curd).

    Will report back.

Made the SW corn chowder for the last couple of days. I may turn into creamed corn.
