I lost 2 and 1/2 pounds - after the scone and clotted cream day out
I don't think I'll be trying the 'eat bad occasionally, lose more weight' method even though it worked this time!
Just been given my target for gold membership at WW - not happy - she said 5lbs under the top of the BMI range - think I may have to grow another inch taller!

To tell the truth I don't really understand the 'express sucess' principles yet.
Mostly I am working from memory when I lost loads of weight (7yrs old) of my old SW days, then refering to the website if I'm unsure, .
Didn't have as much to lose back then either. I lost 10lb the first week and kept the progress book to prove it to myself.
I'll spend some time reading it tomorrow and see what I can do better this week.

Whilst I think the suggestions to get weighed in Boots etc were very sensible, personally I couldn't bare the shame of a 'public' event... would feel like everyone was looking at me and laughing... maybe just a tad paranoid I know!
There are also some people who find weighing on scales too frequently actually demotivates them.
If I was you I'd either measure key points (bust, waist, hips and thighs) with a tape measure and use that as a guide or, if you don't own a tape measure, you could use pieces of string cut them to your current sizes for each measurement and then mark them with a felt pen each month... that way you keep the big ones and can see the gradually decreasing sizes to keep you motivated!

Just finished second day of SW. Start of a very long journey but you are all doing really well!!!

The SW book I have has a blue cover with noodles on it with the heading food optimising. Does anyone have a more up to date version going spare? I'm happy to pay postage

    Any help appreciated.
  • Hi everyone... I have just read the last few pages (to read all 87 seemed a bit daunting) and you all seem very supportive of each other, which is great!

I have been doing SW online (but not the groups) since before Xmas. I didn't have any scales 'til 6th Jan(!) but since then I have lost 1st 6lbs and just over three inches off my belly. I feel great about my progress, but I still feel like I have quite a way to go - another 1 or 2 stone maybe - I think I'll decide for sure when I get there...

I do only green days (as I'm vegetarian) and have never managed to stick at a diet (or healthy eating plan) for as long as this before. I love tucking in to a massive plate of pasta or a healthy veggie bangers and mash...

I do have one question though - what is SW Success Express all about - can anyone enlighten me?

That is the book I have, so I think it is the up to date version.

I think getting on the scales is scary enough but getting a tape measure round my flabby middle would be even scarrier!! i dont know if anyone else is the same as me but i try and not to look there, and almost have disowned the big flabby mess! I'm overweight but think I need to lose about 2 stone, probably more but thats what I am aiming for at the mo, its just all wobble left over from the kids! eugh!

    Lydia I have PM'd you!!

Welcome Lyndsay & MoneyManSteve, its good to see another fellow vegetarian on here - maybe you could let me into to some of your winning tips to lose so much!! :D (& welcome anyone else I didnt spot as I only read a couple of pages back this morn!)

I think I will order some shopping online today (as the kids dont like the shops much and it gives me a chance to plan some meals etc....!)

I am really grateful for the support of everyone on here as whilst I have good intentions, I am always good at starting things like diets but not at sticking to em :o

Welcome to Lyndsay and Money_Man_Steve  You are very welcome and any advice/tips are greatly welcomed! This thread is growing and growing - I wonder is it time to start a new one

Didn't get to SW last night  Too many things to do and not enough time to do them all. I have only one more weigh in before I go on hols so fingers crossed. Incidentally I tried on a pair of 3/4 length trousers this morning and size 14 was too big :T :T I was well pleased!!

I'd love an explanation of success express - is it better than using the greenday/red day? I missed the night at my SW class when they discussed it in detail.

Is cheekymole back from her booze cruise  Or has she drunk too much and forgotten to come back :rotfl:
Where are you cheekymole???? Come back!! :rotfl:
