    Chocolate Treats

crush 10 ryvita with a rolling pin, add 4 tablespoons of nuttella that has been warmed for 20 seconds in the microwave. Stir well and spoon in to small bun cases. This should make 28 - 30 choclate treats at 1 syn each

You can have a certain amount of ryvitas as a B choice healthy extra that's for sure, but interestingly the site reckons it's either 2 or 4 which is silly. Will have to see what my book says.

    :

In the book, one healthy B

    2 Ryvita Original/Dark Rye/ Sesame - High Fibre - Speed food

    4 Ryvita Original/Dark Rye/ Sesame - High Fibre

So it looks like you can have 2 or 4, but you will lose weight quicker with only having 2

That's the second mistake i've noticed on the website (the first was a recipe for parsnip and horseradish sauce soup which they reckon is syn free but isn't because of the horseradish sauce!

I couldn't find parsnip and horseradish soup, but I found cauli and horseradish.

One tablespoon of horseradish sauce is 1 syn.

The soup requires one teaspoon and serves 2,

One tablespoon is 3 teaspoons, so each serving of the soup has 1/6 syn, I guess they think it isn't worth worrying about.

Ooo..yes sue i think that's the soup i meant. I know the syns are almost negligable but it still bugs me, especially if you make losts of recipes where the syns are 'negligable' :) They all add up!

Maybe i need to be less rigid - i'm getting very controlling over what i'm eating at the moment and count every syn where i can!

Just double check the quorn products - I know for sure that the mince is free but some of the others - eg the steak burgers have a syn value. I think if you search Quorn on the syns online it'll bring them up

I used 'mango' this morning and got into the site. I used 'cabbage' all last week, so am a week behind already!
Been bouncing around on the trampoline this afternoon, then the stepper & bike and have stuck well within my allowance. So if this doesn't shift some weight, I'll be despondent.

How many syns in a tiny spider.........................or 2!!!!!!

I had some grapes (bought in a box container), in the fridge for 2 days. Thought earlier I should eat some rather than waste them. Gave them a wash in the colander and was munching away. For some reason I looked at one and there where the stalk meets the grape was a tiny, almost invisable dead spider!
Had a quick check on the rest of the bunch and found another 3 (which I didn't eat!).
I felt sick and threw them out to the birds. YUK!!!!!

Hmmmmmmm spiders - are they free on a red day?? :rotfl:

Hello again guys. Not been on here for a bit.
The wedding at the weekend was great. Loads of fun, and lovely to see old friends i hadn't seen in a long time.
Really made me reaslise how embarrassed i am meeting people, being the size i am (especially people i haven't seen in a while).
Weighed myself yesterday (27th), and am now 17.11
    That's 9lb on since 17th

I've gone on the syn calculator, but can't work out how many syns are in the little chocolates 'Celebrations'.
I have 1/2 a tin left from Xmas and have been tempted to eat 2 today, after the spider shock (take the taste away) :)
It doesn't tell you how much each one actually weighs on the tin, and I don't have any scales that acurate.
I haven't had any yet but would have liked a treat today.
Looking back on my old WW diary, I got fed up after sticking to the diet and not losing ANY weight for 4 wks, then it was only 1lb.
I remember the leader saying I should eat more, and am beginning to think that may be my problem this last week.
Still need to study the diet online, its like a whole new programme now and I keep refering to my old memory of it.
