A most helpful topic
I already have two companies working for me
one company is striving to get back two PPI's, one claim has been successful, but it has complications relating to the actual loan, which the second company is working on, having said that, we, my wife and myself are not happy with the way we are being treated by this second company ( lack of information when we request it ) and we are considering releasing ourselves from the contract with them, I will post more on this subject as and when I have something to post
the second claim against the agents of main lender has gone to the FOS and has been with them for approximately eight months, we are still waiting for the outcome to this claim
the reason for me seeking this forum out was to try to find out what I/We could do for ourselves regarding the ( in my/my wife's opinion ) mis-sold loan and share our experiences with you all at a later date
this SAR letter, is a very good start
thankyou for posting it
regards

As far as I am aware, if you have signed up to a claims company, regardless of whether you pursue the claim yourself or not, they will want their money..
I'm sure some of the more seasoned PPI veterans will be along to either confirm or correct me soon enough.0 -
hi
thankyou for your response, I had a feeling that this was the case ( regarding second company ) but what i neglected to mention was the fact that I/We have not given them the go ahead to start negotiations with the loan/banking companies, all we agreed to was for the second company to gather information and then I/We would decide on a course of action/s
my question to you or anyone is
does this make a difference if I/We decide not to use second company?
we have not even paid them an admin charge as of yet

check your contract with them, and read it carefully.
check the first one too, as you msay have signed something tot he effect that the first one represents you in all claims.....or may be entitled to a percentage form any claim made by you.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
thankyou for your concerns taff
i will re-read both contracts again, but as it was the first company that referred I/We to the second company, they both would be perpetrating a fraud should they both want paying for both PPI and mis-sold loan
the first company is satisfied with their percentage of PPI already recovered and is waiting for the results from the FOS for the second PPI
the second company was employed to go after the loan company, strictly after the mis-sold loan and was told that they would not ever get a percentage of the recovered PPI simply because before I/We employed the second company, I/We had already received a settlement quote from the lender regarding the PPI in question, the lender wanted us to sign a disclaimer stating that this settlement quote would be the end of the matter, I/We refused to sign this offer because I/We wanted to challenge the loan as well, that is how we were referred to the second company
the PPI in question netted us over £22,000, but over £18,000 was taken away from us for what the lender says are arrears, these so called arrears came about when i was out of work in 2006 and tried to put a claim in and was told i could not claim because i was not first signed on the contract, having been told it didnt matter who signed the contract first by the agent, there are many, many more discrepancies relating to this illegal contract, that I will not go into detail here at the moment, suffice to say, by admitting that the PPI was mis-sold to us, points directly to the PPI being the fundamental reason that we got ourselves into arrears, that is the argument, if I have to, I will take into a court room, the lender has already supplied the proof that I need to do this, also, I believe I have a case/argument for fraud against the lender/broker and possibly the mortgage company, again I can not go into details here at the moment, but I will keep you all informed in the near future
I hope this explains a little bit more

Hi everyone, I used the point reclaim template to send of for an A&L loan that I took out in 2006. Santander replied to me letter with not enough information supplied as I do not know the account number of the loan. So it was recommended in the other thread to use a SAR request to get the account info from A/L ~ Santander but if I do not know the account number what info do I include in this SAR letter?0
-
Give them as much information as possible. Current and previous addresses, approx dates covered by the loan, date of birth, telephone number etc.
They should be able to find it with that info. I requested the same from A&L for a loan from 2003. They found my original loan agreement with just the above information.0 -
When you were requesting the info from A&L did you write off to Santander or A&L? I think that's the mistake I am making I initially wrote of to Santander about this A&L loan.0
