  • Hi,

Could someone please be so kind as to tell me the address I would need to send my SAR request to for a Tesco Loan. Also who I would need to make the £10 cheque payable to?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello!

I'm hoping that someone can help me. I have already sent off a claim for a loan that I had and know that I had PPI on. I have had one other loan and two credit cards over the years all of which have been settled and I have no idea if these had PPI on or not. The problem that I have is that I can't find any paperwork relating to these and have no idea what the account numbers were, my helpful partner threw everything out when they were settled. Is there anyway that the banks can find me without these??
I have checked my credit report, which gives me details of the loan/cards by no account numbers. I have read that there should be 4 numbers next to the details but mine doesn't show these.

Any assistance would be very helpful as don't want to send a SAR off if they are going to come back saying that they have no record of me!!!

    Thanks x

Have you rang the banks concerned or go into a local branch to ask if they can find you from address, dob etc?.

If you paid any of these by DD then if you have internet banking go onto your DD list and the account numbers will be there, if you do not have internet banking then ring your bank and ask if they can find these DD for you.

On the credit report there should be 4 digits ( you can use these to give to the bank) next to the loan/cc.

Give them a ring and ask 0845 600 6016, they will give you the address, unless someone knows this and posts up for you.

I sent a sar request Lloyds Tsb over five weeks ago and today I received in the post copies of two loan agreements from my local bank that I already knew about, nothing else
I was expecting a lot of documents as I have been with them over twenty years and I know I've had more than two loans, credit cards for example....... I used the template letter on here which requested a lot more than loan agreements
Is that how they normally do it? Send it out but by bit or should I contact them?

    Hi there
Just double checking, some get confused with a Full SAR (subject access request) to that of a CCA agreement request.

A full SAR is that of £10 cheque or postal order where a request for the CCA is that of a £1.

If you did send a SAR request, they have 40 calendar days to comply, but if you did not and did request for the other, and still want to send SAR for the full details of your account(s), on the if you go back to the first page of this thread you will find the letter template there.

I would otherwise contact them if you have done this and they only send you the agreements, just to be sure.

However, please be aware that many on here have still make successful reclaims without any paperwork, but having your account number helps and if you know you were sold and mis sold PPI, you can therefore continue to make your reclaim with the reclaim questionnaire.

Hope this helps, and good luck.

Hi, yes it was a full sar request which I used the template letter on the front page, I sent it to the lloyds sar request team along with a cheque for £10.It hasn't actually been 40 days yet but I just presumed they would send everything out together and not just a couple of agreements sent by my local bank with a not saying " here are the copies of agreements you requested"
I know I have had other loans before these ones it have no record of them, that's why I did a sar request.
Who would I contact now? My local bank or the sar team I sent the original request to?

Thanks for the number. I'll give them a call. Do you think they will be able to help with giving my loan account number that I had 5 years ago?

Hi all, as previously mentioned, don't both with a SAR (unless you really, really, have to), just pop into the local branch of your bank, taking as many details as possible (bank account/s, old addresses, dates, etc.. - if you can - and any reasons why the PPI was mis-sold, i.e. self-employment, you were told that your loan would not be accepted unless you took out PPI, that you had a medical condition. etc., - i.e. whatever is relevant to your claim). I took a loan out in 1997, had kept no paperwork, went to my local Lloyds bank and the lovely lady their looked up my details and submitted a claim (which she filled in on my behalf) by fax. Cost nothing except five minutes of my time and I had no paperwork to fill in myself. Good Luck.

It is possible that they can do this, no harm in asking is there?.
