Within the first couple of days of the following month - so if you funded the account today, it would be paid beginning of August.

i have been switching money between my halifax bank accounts on different days, but has anyone done all the transfers in and out to hit the £1000 threshold all on the same day and successfully had the £5 paid every month??

    TIA

    Yes, I do HICA > RCA1 > RCA2 > RCA3 > HICA in about 2 minutes and always get 3 x £5 the following month.

I had a HICA and a Reward Current account. After reading the posts here I decided to try for two more Reward Current Accounts. The first one got approvd straight away, but the second one was pending approval. I just checked and it had been declined :( Maybe I shouldn't have tried applying for them both in one night!

Anyway I'm now thinking that I could UPGRADE my HICA to a Reward Current Account anyway. Anyone know if there could be problems upgrading if you've just been declined for a third Reward Current Account? Should I wait? Is there a credit check involved in upgrading, or is it a simple matter of redesignating it? I don't want too many marks on my credit report!

It's usually (always?) paid to the account on the overnight processing run at the end of the first working day of the month.

You'll probably see it Tuesday morning, but it'll be backdated to the 1st of the month, ie today.

Mine has now been credited. Great news as the account was only opened about 4 days ago!

My understanding is that the £5 is paid after deduction of income tax. As I'm not a taxpayer, could I file an R85 form to get the full £6.25? If this isn't possible, does the reward payment show on the S975/S352 that Halifax send at the end of the tax year?
