Hello, I've just opened a Halifax Reward a/c, but on my on-line page it says it's a Halifax Current Account - is this the reward account?
Also If I make a deposit of £1k before the end of July, will I receive my bonus in August or will I have to wait until Sept?
    Thanks inadvance.

The on-line description of your account will change within a few days, so don't worry about that.

You will receive your first fiver in August if you deposit £1k during July. The bonus payments don't show up on the first day of the month, but appear overnight between the first and second day.

Monthly Charge? That doesn't sound like the reward, but Ultimate Reward which charges, unless you have an overdraft and it is that charge?

If it is Ultimate reward only thing you can do is downgrade to reward which is free if you don't have an overdraft. If you close however I think you can be made to pay the monthly charges

Please will you clarify what charges you mean?

Is this a Reward account or an Ultimate Reward?

    How much do you owe?

What is your authorised overdraft limit?

What do you mean by "serious difficulty"?

It may be that these charges are lower than they would have been on a "normal" account. Not that it helps to know!

Here is a question- not sure it has been mentioned- a search turned up nothing. I got a letter welcoming me to my current account. It included what looks like a specimen signature form but it lacks any information on it to be honest, just a box with A/ for roll number (but mine is a D!) and a few boxes with info on joint signatures. What is that all about?

It's exactly what you think, a specimen signature form. They want your signature. You give it to them by filling in the form. Cross out the A/ if it's wrong. Ignore the bits about the joint account holder if you're the sole account holder.

Oh, & I'm not that impressed with the online security, your stuffed if there's a key logger on your machine.

Could you not write "story" in a word document with all your passcodes hidden in the sentences. Then when you log in, cut and paste the relevent codes - or is that a bit OTT?
