hmm, tempting but unless I can verify that I aint gonna get itchytriggerfinger going. :D

God I sound like a sells person:D, as I said from my experience as long as you don't request a overdraft don't think they will do a credit check. Call them.

If you are existing customer and don't apply for overdraft don't think they will search for credit agency, think they uses internal score, I probably have the worst credit record as well as I am not on electrol roll and I got one instantly.
What do you mean with "instantly"?
I'm also an existing customer and I have just applied for one reward account. Although at the end of the application process I was told the new bank account number the following message appears
    2h7ibts.png
saying that my application still needs to be approved.

So I cannot access the new account yet.

Do you already have access to your new account?

Perhaps I've just been conditioned to expect stricter funding requirements, but I take it there's a general feeling that transfers from one of your Reward accounts to another would count towards the £1000 credit requirement?

I already have a mortgage and regular saver with the Halifax and opened one of these accounts within minutes. Might as well add another bank account to the collection :)

Tempted to open another 2 as well if its this easy and they dont credit check you :)

I applied for my first one this morning and got accepted instantly. I applied for my second about an hour ago and got the same message. Perhaps something has gone offline?

I got this message too. Don't panic too much, Lemon. If you are really worried, call them/get them to call you in the morn.

I seem to remember the CRA's take their updates on a Sunday (evening and overnight?). Maybe the search facility is disabled whilst this is going on?

My fear would be that they wouldn't count, especially since they let you have 3 (that's 6 per couple!).

Then again, maybe they're a bit 'slow'? Remember when the Skipton 7.25% (or thereabouts) special saver was launched? Some people on here opened so many (one person bagged 14 from memory?) that Skipton subsequently limited the account to 3 per customer.

At the end of the day though, there's no need to move money around within Halifax now that a great many accounts offer FPs. Probably best to leave it in overnight though (just to 'register') before shipping it back out again.

I would expect so, because as far as I am aware this is the way it worked with the HICA.

Edit: See http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=16102003&postcount=99 , Mikeyorks' mother clearly does it this way with her HICA successfully.
