You reckon Halifax can and will just close these accounts if they want then?0
-
Well, just checked my Reward Accounts and there are no £5 credits yet. Balance opened with £100 and left in, and the £1,000 transferred in from outside source and left there overnight.0
-
Just checked my Reward Accounts too. No £5 been rewarded either.
Phoned Halifax and they said you get the £5 on the anniversary date when the account was opened.0 -

This is what I was told yesterday by Halifax, but other posters on this thread said the 1st working day of the next month. I have looked through the T&C's to see where it says that, but can't find any reference to when it's paid.0 -
You won't find it in the T&Cs sent out with the account but according to the bumph they sent out in January titled "we're changing your account" it's paid MONTHLY.
Nothing in my account yet but then it's not close of business yet is it?"A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0 -
Can Anyone help me.
I opened one Reward account last Thursday and two more on Friday.
Then credited £1001 to all of them on Friday from my Tesco account using
faster payments(the money showed up virtually straight away).
Only the first one was saying "Reward" when I credited the money too the accounts.
On checking on Saturday morning they were all showing as Reward accounts but the two accounts I opened on Friday the £1001 had dissapeared!!!! Checked this morning and money still missing. Is this normal?? Should I contact Halifax??0 -

Others on this thread have experienced the same, but their money reappeared. It is on this thread somewhere, but as it's so long now, not sure which page it's on.0 -

Shows how good their product knowledge is. Payment should be made on the 1st of the month following credits of £1000."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0 -

Apologies if it doesn't materialise today (the 'other posters' is me). That's just what I was led to believe.
Oh well, just goes to show never to believe what you read on an internet forum!
Edit: Have just seen Grade A Reject's post above, maybe I wasn't making up the 1st of the month bit after all!0 -
