Now have 3 x HFX, 1 x possible (need 7 days to think about it) BoS, and 2 x "closed" (before they were even opened) BoS.
Will have to put BoS on hold for a while and maybe apply again at a later date.
You said the one you have pending shows as such in your user area? Mine doesn't, but it definitely said I would hear within 14 days. Perhaps it will appear when they start to manually review it.You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -
I got a letter from BoS yesterday saying my application was successful (when I applied online I got the "we need to think about this and will write to you" message at the end, although the account showed up on my Online Banking etc).
So now I have one HICA, three Halifax Reward CAs and a BoS one. Don't think I'll be applying for any more BoS ones!
Have funded them all with £1k, so let's see what happens.

The HFX account I mentioned above wasn't listed, but I added it manually today through the 'my preferences' tool. Despite today's letter saying I've been accepted the account is still marked "application decision" though. Maybe this will change when I send the £100 requested in the letter?0 -
Yeh, the "take me to" only appears after the account is activated with a deposit - I had issues after making the deposit from Tescos via FP - apparently FP payments in to activate are not allowed, and it got bounced to a holding account!0

All 3 of mine were activated with faster payments from my First Direct account with no problems at all.

Has anyone actually received this £5 yet? I thought Halifax credited interest on the last day of the month for current accounts but nothing was showing up on mine even though I had paid in a cheque in excess of £2k in February. The entire amount was withdrawn on the day the cheque became 'available'.0

Just checked mine.
I changed from the HICA to the reward over the phone on the 9th February, have since deposited the £1000. for the month and it is showing that interest was credited on 28th February, a Saturday, (13p net, as only had an average of around £100. in account over the month,so this works out about right if interest is 2.5%), I assume that is the interest for the HICA and if so will I still get the £5. tomorrow? or have Halifax messed up?
Name of account showing as; - "Reward Current Account"Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
