    Got mine too! :beer:
  • Mine's in there too. Just in case anyone's interested internal standing orders do meet the funding requirements. I've now amended 6 out the 7 standing orders to £1005 so that all the fivers get dumped into a single account at the end of the month. I'm also considering halving the amount of money cycling the accounts and doubling the DD frequencies which would give the same agregate funding each month.

    [edit] Just re-read my own post and realised my mathematical blunder. As the SOs are daisy-chained moving £1005 to the next account wouldn't work. Each successive SO needs to be £5 greater than the previous, £1005,£1010, £1015 etc.

    (now how do I go about thanking myself?)

  • Paid! Anyone had any creative ideas as to what they will do with the £5?

    Not very creative but I'm going to take my 7 x £5 and overpay an extra £35 off my Halifax mortgage each month.......I call it the Halifax Reward Offset Mortgage. ;)

    Got £5 reward for each of my three Halifax accounts (HICA not yet converted), however nothing for the BoS one! Wondering if it's because the £1k was paid in in two lots of £500. No time to investigate now so will re-read the T&C and unread posts in this thread when I get home from work tonight.

    Can't believe this worked just for shuffling 500 internal pounds round 3 accounts on Saturday! Nothing stayed in the accounts for more than 10 seconds, apart from £1 holding amount.

    So, come on MikeY, what's the interest rate for £5 net paid on a £1 deposit for 3 days?

    Is it worth posting how the money was paid in so the debate over internal/external, leave it in over night (or not), etc arguments can be cleared up?

    I transfered in 1k by BACS, left it in overnight then moved it out again and have had the £5 paid. Going to open up another 2 accounts today now that the 'test' one has worked.

    Edit: Thats the other 2 opened now. Once they change status to 'Reward' accounts I will set up the standing orders to move between the 3. Easiest money ever :)

    I had my £100 in overnight, to activate the card (in and out by transfer to/from my existing HICA).

    I then transferred £450 to the Reward, then instantly back again, then back into the Reward, and finally back to the old HICA.

    I got the Reward, so can confirm that
    * Internal transfers do count
    * The money does not need to stay in the account for any length of time, just the fact that it was credited is enough.
    * The £1000 doesn't need to be added all in one large transaction, as long as the sum of the credits is at least £1000 it's fine to split them into smaller lumps.
