Not very creative but I'm going to take my 7 x £5 and overpay an extra £35 off my Halifax mortgage each month.......I call it the Halifax Reward Offset Mortgage. ;)

I too was going to pay it back into the all new "Halifax reward Offset Mortgage".

Anyway some good news on my 3 Reward accounts.
    Account 1...Opened 26th Feb...Credited 27th feb £1001 - Fiver received.:j

Account 2/3...Opened 27th Feb...Credited 27th feb £1001- No Fiver, but at least me money finally arrived back into the accounts this morning:rolleyes: Will chase Halifax up too see why no fiver....at least I'm ready for the onslaught this month.....

And the missus is now setup with 3 more accounts ready to go.

Mine is also showing as credited, (on the 1st March), it wasn't there last night, 2nd, so they are backdating the credit to the 1st of the month if the 1st is not a "bank working day".

Here's an idea - how about people stop chasing them up and causing a fuss if the reward is not there yet?

Its only one day into march and this is a brand new account for them. Surely you can wait a week or two and then see if they have sorted everything out. Stop wasting their time or you might speed up the decision to ban people from having more than one account.

    208% (gross) or 167% (net).

That's not a bad rate, I can't see any other banks who do that :rotfl:
Come on, quote the AER - adds a couple of extra zeros on!

Yeah your right Roosteroo, I'll lay off the chasing up.
But don's worry Halifax staff already know of the recylcing of money, most of them will be doing the same...

I have opened three reward accounts going through the same process for each one. However, only the first account is described as a reward account. Also the drop down menu does not mention rewards for the two extra accounts. Have they realized what is going on, and are only allowing one reward account? When you go to view the types of current accounts they have, they do not show ordinary accounts as being available. Has anyone actually received three rewards, and are all your accounts described as reward accounts?

The first one I opened is shown as a reward account. The extra 2 that I opened today are currently showing as 'current account'. I recall the first one that I opened also had this status but it was changed a day or two after.

If I click on one of the 'current account' ones then there is the option to upgrade it to an Ultimate Reward but not the Rewards option at the bottom.

If you have opened them recently then give it a few days and it should sort itself out.

    Hi,

I opened 3 Halfax and 3 Bank of Scotland A/C's.

On all six accounts when I opened them they did not say Reward Accounts until 48 hours had passed.

Also I credited each with £1,000 and the money went in fine. Then 24 hours later the money vanished but came back in 48 hours. Do not panic. This happened on all six of my accounts.

I have today received £5 on each account so all is working fine.

Do you have to go to the branch and sign for opening all accounts?
I successfully opened my 1st reward account over the phone and had to make an appointment to sign at the bank. Do you have to do this if you apply online?
I would like to open 2 more Reward accounts online, will I have to go down to the branch again?
