I successfully opened my 1st reward account over the phone and had to make an appointment to sign at the bank. Do you have to do this if you apply online?
I would like to open 2 more Reward accounts online, will I have to go down to the branch again?
I opened 2 more Reward accounts online today, no need to go into the branch again, i just transfered money from my first account into the 2 new ones.
If you go to the Halifax website click on the Reward account info page then click apply, it gives you the option to log in before applying for the new account, just log in and you should have no problem getting the other accounts set up.0 -
jus checked and i have got £5 in the 3 reward accounts. :j was a bit worried on one a/c as i transferred money in and out of one as i did it on 28th feb
but mum has only had 1 lot paid, fingers crossed she will get the rest at later stage.

Who hasn't received there £5?
As i haven't, and had debited the account accordingly etc. Not sure if to enquire or leave it a little longer. But i am interested to see how many people haven't received there £5 yet?!0 -
In my T&Cs booklet, under the Reward Payments section on p.29, it states:
"If you pay in £1000 or more during any month, you will receive one reward payment the following month"
Presumably then, these conditions dictate that Halifax has to make the £5 payment to those that made deposits in early March by April 30th or before.New Year's Resolution: _party_

Do you think it was just luck of the draw that some people have managed to get all 3 accounts opened at once and others, including myself, have had the extra account requests referred for a decision or some other reason even though no credit facilities have been requested or are required?"Click the pennies. I had 3 accounts accepted immediately online, the 4th went to a decision and was declined. My brother opened 4 online and all were accepted, the last after a decision and he was paid the £5 reward on all of them yesterday0 -

Exactly the same here, I have 3 Halifax Reward, got all my 5s yesterday. Tried to open at 4th one, via BOS, got referred and today declined.
Either it's luck, or they've picked up on what people are doing, or it's the specific people you are getting through to at the underwriters. At the end of the day, there are guidelines I'm sure, but it's their personal decision.Originally Posted by Dr Cuckoo3

I will have to just be grateful for my free £10, but £30 would have been nicer."Click the pennies. Collect the pounds."0

Applied for my second and third account online tonight, the first (new acc) went straight through and I transferred £100 in. Says "Current account", I assume this will change to "Reward Current Account" soon.
The second application went through but says "Application Decision", wait up to 7 days for a decision. Hmm, I suppose if it gets declined, I can re-designate my HICA to a Reward to give me my total of 3.0 -
That's a dangerous assumption to make Pitchshifter. Of the three accounts I have with Halifax - High Interest, Easysaver and Reward - the Easysaver was the only one they managed to get right first time. HBOS has some attractive products, but you certainly can't assume competence on their part.0
