I thought I said it may take three days with faster payments which means leave it in a day then move it back, then back again. Faster payments mean the transfer is instant but you leave it in Hbos each day - 3 accounts = 3 days! lol

sorry didn't think I had to spell it out hehe

Have a read of THIS or THIS

sorry to misquote you milford! so u leave it in.....

Lol, no worries - i'm saying some people reckon it's best to, just overnight but others say not to. Put it this way, say you get paid the 15th every month and you pay mortgage by DD 15th every month. The minute you get paid the debit for your mortgage will come off so technically you never had the money in overnight but this would qualify.

see where i'm coming from? To be certain/safe/guaranteed then leave it in overnight or take the risk - you'll find out after the 1st month won't you? :o

Branch ( employee upstairs, not cashier) said to me :

Whilst their is nothing to say that the 1000.00 has to be left in overnight, she would do so to be on the safe side, she also said that in normal circumstances a salary credit would go in and some of it might get withdrawn straight away which counters out the must stay in overnight argument. ( Abbey informed me that their 1000.00 credit requirement doesnt have to remain in place overnight)

That their is nothing to say that the account (s) have to be funded from external sources.

    .....................................................................................................

i like the sound of this. i agree with the withdrawal on same day as credit scenario, probably happens quite a lot, especially with wages each month.

  • Does anybody know how long it will take for a payment to reach Halifax Reward C/A from Nationwide Sortcode 07 02 46, I was going to test it then realised I cant until card reader arrives. :o In my mind I have a feeling that I read that Nationwides Faster payment account is fast in and slow out, would appreciate someone with that knowledge posting back pse.

Id also be interested to know whether Abbey have faster payments both in and out.

does anyone know when the £5 gets rewarded? Is it on the anniversary date of each month when the 1st £1000 is transfered into the account or on the 1st day of each month irrespective when you opened the account?

It's always put in on the first working day (i.e. Monday-Friday) of each month. So the first £5's will be put in on Monday 2nd March.
