If you are in a trade union, call them.
If your local CAB isn't open until Monday, call one in the next town (just type in the other towns postcode in the finder).
If you have a disciplinary hearing, you should at least be able to take someone (perhaps a colleague?) as a witness.
If the police do become involved (ie if your employer makes a complaint) and you are asked to go to the police station to discuss - ask for the duty solicitor, who the police will arrange, who is free and who is available 24/7
    Good luck

Do you have a voice recorder or mp3 player that can record? It would be wise to take it and record time and date before you talk to your boss about anything.

Call the police so that they can advise you now and they will have a record of your call and concerns. Mention you feel the accusations against you could be a cover up for some form of fraud, either from the franchise company and or to the insurance company that might be coughing up the cash.

I would also refuse to enter any meeting with the boss without 3rd party present, police officer.CAB or lawyer.

If you read my subsequent post you would have seen that I was suggesting that it might help the OP get better answers if people could read and understand the post.

The OP has had lots of good advice on here and I hope everything gets sorted out quickly.

    And the word is "punctuation";)

What does the bit in bold mean - has something like this happened before?

What has been fiddled and do you have proof - which would be very useful

I think calling in head office tomorrow is a great idea, as you say she has fiddled the safe (I take it you mean she has made the books look as if the money is in there when it isn't) I'm certain they will be interested in this. However Subway is a franchise so your employer is the franchisee (ie the owner) is this the person you have been dealing with? I'm not sure how things work when this is the case but speaking to CAB or ACAS in the morning might clarify things.
Thanks to all who post comps :A :T

I the boss has made the money look like it is there when it isn't then this is a huge issue. Do you have proof of this OP? If the money has been stolen it should be reported as such, not fiddled through the books so that the money is unaccounted for. How can you be prosecuted for taking money that has not been taken?

Something really is not right here and I would speak to ACAS and CAB first thing on Monday to find out what to do next. Please ensure you go into that meeting with a witness.

Am I on my own in thinking that the boss has taken the money - hence cooking the sales figures so the money is accounted for.

If you haven't taken it then don't worry....

There is no way you can be prosecuted without stone cold proof that you took it. If the CCTV just shows you around it but not actually putting your hands on it and stuffing it in your pocket then they haven't a leg to stand on.

As people have mentioned subway is a franchise - is your boss the franchise owner?
