  • Happytails, we always recommend to the new Mum's to wash brand new baby clothes but most of them don't bother.
I think they are worried that ' If Something Happens' they will need to take the clothes back to the shop. :(
There are lots of chemicals in new clothes though so I'd recommend a wash especially as you say there's a history of sensitive skin. Probably in plain water would do.
Also think about all the clothes that are dropped on the floor in shops and put back etc etc ....

    Enjoy your 'nest building'

ok own up... which MSE er was on RAdio Scotland this morning??

I was in the car, and this programme came on about the credit crunch and there were women talking about meal planning and buying cheap tinned tomatoes, and cheap cleaning materials such as vinegar and about re-using, re cycling, batch cooking, using everything up, doing different things with a chicken,

It starts with older women and how it was years ago and then it goes on about Jamie Oliver and then this woman comes on with tips and the chicken etc, she just sounds like she comes straight from on here

I was quite smug, driving alone in my car, talking to myself, saying: Already doing that!

Here is the link if you want a listen, quite good, even just to confirm we are doing the right thing. :T

btw; got my own car back today, nice and shiny. Now £250 poorer but it is good to have it back, it needed a new back axle as well as back panel, I saw the bill for the insurance, it was over £2000.

I'm off to Scotland for a week on Saturday, so I shall feel right at home then! ;)

Will be taking in the delights of Peebles, Edinburgh and Glasgow. I'm taking my remoska with me and debating whether I can fit the panny in the car as well :o:D

Glad petrol prices have dropped a bit though! Will be doing a bit of stockpiling from Mr T's as well so I can get a voucher for 5p off a litre of petrol. Not sure what else I can stockpile or where I'll be able to put it, but thinking I might opt for pet food, washing powder and some of the wine that's on offer for Chrimbo! ;)

  • Thats a shame. Bought my 2 yr old a cot bed after hers broke and she wouldnt sleep in it so bought her a full size bed so its never been used. Suppose I should get round to selling it

Now this is a little bit naughty, but why don't you buy an electrical item, a pair of shoes, anything just to put the total up, then take it back for a refund. They won't take back your discount voucher.
