Mumoftwo: Glad you got your car back! I'll bet that makes you happy!
And it wasn't me on the radio, that's for sure!
Bet it was fun to listen to though..0 -
Can we stop talking about scary electric cuts and gas shortages and get back to grated carrots and potting sheds? :rotfl:
Or you could go in the other direction - and after all I gotta give BigMummaF summat to go round saying "that darn Ceri - what will she find next?" about.....and read the first of my two posts I put on "me blog" today:D
http://chezceridwen.blogspot.com/
where I've put on a link to a leetle 10 minute video clip for your "delectation and delight" or summat.... (headlined "The tipping point")0 -

I'm not an intellectual - I like my stuff at "yer average intelligent 6th former in the street" level myself and this "filled the bill" re the Financial System - as in explaining in a humorous comprehensible way whats what re Money (summat we are all wondering about right now - as we are trying to figure out just how banks can be "crashing and burning" around us all of a sudden like they are at present):

"Money as Debt"
an amusing little video - 47 minutes worth (its in 5 parts - click through the sections at the side to watch the rest - they are a bit out of order - but all there).

Happytails, personally I would wash the new stuff. It will get rid of any dressing and stiffness still in the fibres, as well as any dust and loose threads.
I'm sure I recall once reading that clothes imported were 'fumigated' whilst in transitOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Thanks Whatawit, i will wash these tomorrow! I had sensitive skin when i was a baby so trying to reduce the chance of my little one having a rash or whatever

Happytails
If you can put the parcel in an envelope and get it as thin and narrow as you can as it has to fit through a measuring slot it should save you money in postage."This site is addictive!"

You're very organised Happytails! I'm not that far ahead on the baby clothes front  I just keep nagging DH ALL THE TIME to get the spare room sorted. for the baby.. I said I want it sorted before Christmas... we will see. It just needs old stinky carpet taking up, walls painted and new floor put down (he wants to replaster ceiling but that isnt essential).
The other reason I want it done is cos its quite scary when you think I finish work on 6th Feb (14 ish working weeks left - I am so sad I counted!!)Is I havent got that many 'proper' pay packets left!
We will wait and see. Had hair cut tonight at M-I-L's so she cooked us tea too. I used to pay £50 for highlights and nice cut every 6-8 weeks (More than a year ago now!) and now its £13 for me and DH to have hair cut every 6 weeks. Bargain! Sorry to have waffled everyone! x0
