Let it all cook away whilst you watch tv or relax in the bath.
At the risk of sounding very stupid here, do I literally just put it all in a caserole dish ?, chicken raw and whole and veg ? would quite like to do a tomato based sauce, so just a tin of Tom, Potatoes etc and cook it ?, how long would it take to cook ?, sorry I am new to this, was a ready meal girl till I found this forum.0 -
Happytails - the non bio is kinder, I was just saying that my boy hasnt had any problems using bio, his dad gets psoriasis and I used to have excema as a child too. Its obviously totally up to you if you use it or not, but I find the bio stuff washes food stains out easier as they have enzymes in to break down the food.0

ideas appreciated :j
Hoping to make something new tonight x
If you can find some milk, cornflour and cheese you can make a pasta bake instead of same old pasta with tomato sauce, basically you make a quick white sauce by mixing milk with a tbsp cornflour, cook it (stirring all the time) until thickened, then add grated cheese, any old hard cheese will do.
Make a quick tomato sauce by frying onions and adding tomatoes, then cook pasta (al dente, not too soft or it will go pappy in the oven).
Mix pasta, tomato sauce and cheesy sauce and put in an oven dish. Grate some cheese on top and bake at medium heat until cheese on top starts going golden and bubbly.
Buon appetito!

How big is the chicken? I usually go with 20 minutes per lb plus 30 minutes on that. So if its a 2lb chicken then 40+30= 1hr 10. Make sure your oven is pre-heated (I stick mine on as soon as I'm through the door before I take my coat off). Literally put everything in the dish, plus your sauce and put it in the oven.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Daisymac - my fave recipe for a whole chicken is to pot roast it with a couple of tablespoons of redcurrant jelly a few cloves of garlic, some rosemary from the garden and about a third of a bottle of wine. Stick the lid on and throw it in the oven for about 2hrs. Serve it with some new pots and green beans. Then the next day dissect some of the leftovers and throw them and the stock sauce left from the previous day in a wok, warm it through and stir some full fat yoghurt or creme fraiche(if you feel flash) through it and serve with the rest of the green beans and cooked pasta - it's delish!!! Then with what's left have some salad and a chicken leg, make a curry and then the carcass for stock. I'm on curry night from out carcass from this recipe on Saturday.Separated 17/06/10, now dealing with the falloutHouse sold and debt cleared 23rd May 2014. Bio powder I also find better on stains, however my family do have sensitive skin, so what I have worked on the most is reducing how much I use, which reduces how much residue is left on the clothes (which caused their and most other peoples reaction) In turn this is also saving me money
lasts over 3 times as long.
kersplatt can you do that without the wine and use something else? I don't buy it and would find I wasted the rest of the bottle so try to avoid using it when cooking.
Petrol here varies, DPs just drove past one 6 miles away that is 96.9, nearest one to me however is 105.9 it's always most expensive around! Sainsburys not too far is 101.9 but I will probably use the one near the caravan site at the weekend, it's usually 5p a litre ish cheaper than here, stated as the cheapest fuel in the north east, so I save almost what it costs me to get there and backLooking forward to spending the half term there before we put it away for the winter, electrics included in what I paid (worked out £20 a week) and I have electric heating so will save money on heating the house (DPs a cold bum!)
One day I might be more organised...........

We are going away in our caravan next week as well lil_me. As the electric is included in what we paid and we have an electric radiator, I am looking forward to being warm for the first time in weeks!!:)Do more of what makes you happy:)0

DP pointed out that a macdonalds for 2 of us is about £9 and its very unhealthy and doesnt fill you up - he's catching on with the Moneysaving recipes YEY!
