I found dried eggs in the baking section at Sainsbury's but never seen it anywhere else.

There are lots of egg-free cake recipes here

Why not get some chickens instead of using dried egg? Obviously no good if you live in a flat but if you've got room go for them in your garden, makes sense to me.

Does this strike anyone as odd? Our lesser off friends (ourselves included) appear to be managing a lot better through the crunch the our better off friends. We've always budgetted for the worse, however things have worked out better than anticipated (I think rent being low has helped). My middle class friends are honestly worrying about where they'll find money to pay the bills.

Anyone else notice this?

Anyway to the original topic - I've cut out drinking for my health but it's also saving me a packet. I'm also trying to keep a closer eye on what I spend in an attempt to save some cash for a rainy day (or year).
