hi- i'm just about to take a contract out with mobile rainbow. however, before I do so, I need you to answer the following questions. If you need more info, then I will be subscribing to the Video Talk and Text 700 12 month contract with a free LG U880.
1) What is your companies registered headquarters address please
2) The full address needed for which I need to send my cashback claims to.
3) The full terms and conditions for the cashback
4) I also would like to know how you can afford to pormote this offer- it's just other companies say that they wont pricematch your deal, because they would be making a loss!! How can you afford to do this?
5) Once I get the phone, how do I register it so that the contract starts?
6) what can I use my free minutes on (0800 numbers, 0845, abroad?) and do i get double for the first 3 months?
7) How do I pay for the insurance?
8) You claim to be one of 3's approved retailers. What does this mean?
9) How long have you been trading for?
10) on a slight less technical matter- how can I choose what colour of the phone I am ordering (!!!)
thanks
chris barnes
Dear Mr. Barnes,
Please find the answers for your queries below:
The address of our company’s registered headquarters is:
Room # 11 Parade House
135, The Parade
High Street, Watford
Hertfordshire
WD17 1NA
This is also the address where you are need to send your bills for the cash back claims.
2. The cash back amount is divided equally in the 6th, 9th and the 12th month & is credited into the bank account directly within 30 days of the receipt of the bill from your side each time. The bills and the completed cash back vouchers should be received by us exactly within 30 days of the date on the relevant airtime bill. Any claims made after the required span of time would not be considered eligible for the redemption money.
In case of two packages, please attach the cash back vouchers separately for each of your phone. It is requested that you send us the required documents through special delivery as we would not be responsible for lost items or late arrivals.
Please note that we also accept a print of the online bills and photocopies of the original bills but duplicate vouchers are NOT ACCEPTED. Also, the amount is always credited to the sole account holder’s bank account & no third party entry is allowed.
To qualify for the cash back:
1. You must have cleared all your outstanding bill of your account.
2. Do not downgrade your monthly tariff plan before the minimum term of your contract.
3. Contract must be in continuation with no line disconnection due to non payments or arrears.
3. All the deals offered on our websites are promoted on an equation of “No gain, No loss”.
4. You are going to receive a pre-activated handset. So, all you have to do before you start using it is get it charged completely.
5. The free minutes can be used to call up any network (including landlines), anytime within UK but that excludes premium and non-geographical numbers (08… numbers).
6. The insurance is free for the 1st three months and then the premium is just £5.99. Payment for the insurance premium from the 4th month onwards will be taken through direct debit.
7. There are many dealers who connect customers to ‘3’ network on their behalf for pay monthly phones and we are one such authorized retailers of ‘3’ network.
8. We have been into the business for 4 years now and 1 year since we launched our website.
9. Please let us know the colour of the LG U880 (black or silver) that you are interested in by calling our customer services and we will send you the desired coloured handset.
Please call us on 0808 160 0027 and we will be glad to assist you.

Up till now, whenever you phone the Watford phone no, you only seem to get through to someone who claims he is just a warehouseman. But it seems there is at least one director in the UK (and bound to be more), so feel free to contact him direct.
....
Phone 01923 232357 (this looks like a direct dial number straight in to MSOLS, not the building switchboard)
Jacky
This number is now ringing through to a warehouse aswell - looks like there is not much going on in MR world as the other 0870 and 0800 numbers just enter a neverending queue - I was held for 40 mins on the 0800 number :-|

Has anyone got any money from mobile rainbow in a small claims court? I am considering this action, because my contract is almost at an end and I have received no cashback, but wondered how to go about it and whther anyone else had successfully done this. Any help greatly appreciated0

I sent an email to 3 today lodging a complaint about MR. 3 called back to say that it would be passed to their investigations team and if enough people complained, 3 would take action against MR. So, let it rip guys. Lodge your experiences through the 3 contact form if you are on 3 or contact your mobile provider. I am sure they will take a similar course of action.
I did this also and `3` are a complete waste of time and just serve to slow down the process, which is the inevitable-taking msol to court.
I informed `3` of this companys behaviour and of the amount of people that has been effected by this cowboy company results in a huge complaints forum, but their reply was it is nothing to do with them. I pressed the case informing them that it has everything to do with them, because without being able to use the `3` network then they would not be able to rip people off, but I got the same reply-`3` are a joke and are no better than msol for allowing them to use their network to rip people off and are not interested in any shape or form in recovering any money for you.0 -
ive posted earlier about mr
for my final cashback my twelth bill just wouldn't arrive from three. so rang them they said that as id cancelled my contract for just after the end of the twelve months, they were delaying my bill it would be a month late.
told mr of this the customer advisor said that had to get three to send them an email to say this was this case ie, it wasn't my fault that bill being delayed. but three refused saying data protection act so they can email me this info which i can then forward to mr. but mr turned around and said no. so basically the time span that i had to get them the email is over.
have made a complaint about mr to three and they will investigate this partuclar issue. But i am so angry, mr will now refuse to give me my final cashback!!
not that they've paid my second or third cashback as yet!
don't know what to do!Will post them a letter before action on monday for me second cashback but don't hold any hope of ever getting my final cashback!0 -
Satisfy yourself that they will be able to pay up after a court case before paying out for the court fees to issue a summons.0

I put in a claim for all four cashback after the first two were late. Claim three will be late soon and claim four is not due to January. I complete my contract with Mobile Rainbow and T-mobile in January. They have only paid the first two cashbacks and as part of their defence they put in:
We cannot make an early payment for the future cash back claims, as it gives a chance to Claimant to terminate her contract with Network before the contracted period. In the event of early termination, Network will claw back the entire commission paid to us, as per our contract with the Network. This can cause a double loss to us.
Has anyone claim the whole of their cashback in one go when the later claims are not due and have got the full amount?0 -
to make matters worse, they've shut down 0800 number and therefore not only are you on hold forever but you also have to pay national rates for it!!!0
-
Yes and its an 0870 number to add insult.0

I heard last week that Dextra who supply MSOLS have cut thier ties with them, as they did not respond to a request from the networks and Ofcom for certain information relating to cashback claims.
Dextra have been on to me asking for me to deal with them, as they obviously do not have many high connecting dealers left, and want to spread their accounts amongst many smaller dealers.
As TangoMango has said, i doubt you will receive any monies and as soon as court claims start going through the shisters will liquidate.
If you are in difficulties just call your network and politely ask if your line rental can be reduced. They are under no obligation as the deal was between you and MSOLS Ltd.0
