I think that the 6.08% rate is applicable until the end of May, as the six months was announced on 24 November 08. However the information I have has not been updated for some time, so I could be wrong.
The budget is on 22 April, so I imagine something definitive will be announced then.
Sprintblue - two words - get lost. MSE does not advocate fraud.Gone ... or have I?0 -
dmg24,
Nor do I, and take your fowl thoughts with you.
If you don't like what I post, tough.
Perhaps if you were in this boat you would understand ... clearly you are not and don't like people understand the choices they need to make and more importantly when.
NOTE you are NOT MSE, so stop acting like it..... words fail me.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If the rate hadnt been held for six months in november at 6.08% it would now be 2.08%,I suspect any new change will be announced in the budget, hopefully taking into account that many are still paying 5%+,it may well be that they will do away with a universal rate and actually pay each individuals interest rate, maybe with a 5% cap?
time will tell0 -

I cant see what you have added in the way of sensible advice to this thread:eek: ,and btw you are no more MSE than DMG is,DMG however does offer sensible advice on a range of benefit issues0 -
Grow up Woodbine .. as I have said, you want to speak to me off topic pm me.
My advise is aimed at people in the same situation as me(JSA IB- Seeking work & a mortgage) and not, somebody who has been ill on benefit for the last eleven years. That is why you don't understand the sensible advise I have provided.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Ok one last attempt to get thru,it doesnt matter what the circumstances the rules on ismi are the same for everyone,in every respect. However if you think that you or anyone else deserves for some reason to be treated differently then I suugest you take that up not with me but with the dwp,i`m sure jimmy purnell will be interested:rotfl:
As for growing up,erm pot kettle black
but you have at least one good idea if you want to discuss this further you could PM me,i can gaurantee you wont be answered:p0 -
Hi all,
Thanks for the information - very useful.
I can understand both sides of this argument. Personally, I don't think that Sprintblue was suggesting fraudulent activity, but was pointing out that simple changes can benefit your situation. After all, I've saved my pennies and sacrificed, only for the Government to use that against me now. The Government are offering free money to those that didn't put money aside for a rainy day. I don't earn much money at all, but I don't go out, don't go on holiday, don't drink, don't smoke etc. Anyway, this discussion is not about my sacrifices.
Thanks for your help and I think I've learned a good lesson here. I'm taking the kids on holiday. :T

After reading here i am confused Can someone please clarify for me please...
My Husband was made redundant, i work part time 13 hours, earning just over £100 per week,we he currently claims jsa cb, if we have to claim jsa ib we will be entitled to £94 per week, but as i earn over £100 per week does this mean we will not the mortgage assisitance?
I think thats someone was saying here? Please clarify someone in the know, i am worried sick....0 -
If your earnings are above the jsa ib level then you wont qualify, and wont get ismi,as i understand it.However benefit rates increase next week, although i dont think they go over £100 for jsa ib couple0
