Hello all - Play.com have reduced their Sony Bravia 32 inch KDL-32EX301 / HD Ready / Freeview / LCD TV by a further £20.00 to £279.99.

I was originally going to buy the Samsung 32" for sale in PC World for £248.00 but these are no longer for sale at this price but for an additional £32.00 I am very happy with a 32" Sony Bravia!

I went through topcashback and got 0.5% cashback aswell - not a huge amount but still its better than nothing!

If you buy a TV from Play.com or somewhere else online and you have a warrenty claim how do you pursue it?

Can you return the TV to a Sony Center, or do you have to return / package and pay for postage??

Effects for me the decision to buy online or try one of the supermarket deals.

    Cheers.

Hi, I am looking to buy a new tv for my new house, and looking for some help,

I have been looking at the samsung 50" 3D plasma, but unsure whether to go for the 3D model or go for just a full HD in similar size, looking to spend around £1500, so looking for any ideas, or suggestions anyone may have,

    thanks

Does anyone know the best price for the Sony 40W5810?
I think M&S had it for £599 (before trade in) but have now hiked their prices.

As it's last year's model, do you think the price will come down after the trade-in offer expires on 11 July?

Went to Curry's in Braehead yesterday to have a look at TV's for my kitchen. A sales assistant approached and said they match a price and take another 10% off, making £162. We had just seen a 19" Sony in M&S for £180 which interested us. So we put it to Curry's to honour their promise. Wasted 20 minutes while they tried to phone M&S. Were told to come back tomorrow.

Eventually we took a photo of the M&S deal and went back. The manager then said we can only beat the online price, not a shop displayed price.

So M&S price was £180, going up to £249 after sale. (on web as £249. Currys price was £249 and as there was no difference (note difference not another 10% as we were told) Currys maintained there price was competitive at £249. Broken promises.

How deluded can you get ?

Currys cannot sell on price, must be a sale price or convenience only.

    Manager is wrong.
You should have asked the manager to read the terms of their price match promise as it is written on their own website.
    Currys Price Promise in store

In the unlikely event that you find a cheaper price, for the same product and offer we'll not only match the price but also beat it by 10% of the difference. Our price promise even applies up to 7 days after purchase
Single unit purchases only. The competitor must be a retail store within 30 miles and have stock ready for delivery.
