Totality, Pure Homes do you have any views on the above, its just I am looking to make a purchase today and am starting to panic as cant decide what to get.
I also notice Sainsburys have the Toshiba 40LV665DB back in stock http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/technology/televisions/lcd/119634764_toshiba_40lv665db_40_full_hd_1080p_lcd_tv.html?hnav=4294960178 which is quite cheap.0 -
Don't want to keep banging on about this, and I'm not trying to sell plasma TVs, but...
They don't get screen burn unless you leave a static image on for 24hrs+.
They don't use significatly more power (don't look at the peak figure, that would be watching a bright white screen all the time).
There's no such thing as a viewing angle on a plasma, they can be seen from any angle without the picture suffering.
You don't need to 'regas' them. That's air conditioning you're thinking of.
Any other myths?...0 -

The only thing I'd say about the Toshiba is that I don't think you can swivel the base, if that is something you were wanting.
Honestly, there's no substitute for going to a shop and taking a look at a few sets if that's at all possible.0 -

Was this in one of their larger stores? as the Asda near me doesnt normally stock many tv's and their are no Panasonics listed on their website for sale, sounds potentially a good deal.0 -

Only 2 HDMI sockets which isn't particularly good, and I don't think much of Hitachi at all.
You could get better elsewhere I reckon. I'm sure there is a 42inch LG with better spec available somewhere?0 -
