After a 37" though, seems to be a bit of a price hike to go up to that. Any good deals on that?
  • The Samsung in the top deals section has gone up, again, I was thinking of getting it, bummer!

    There's a 32" here for £200!

There are a few other 32" for £230 on the same site.

Never heard of BEKO though or the other makes either.

Amazon have a Toshiba Regza AV615DB in stock for £299.99

If you look through the 'USED' tab on the page, you will regularly find open boxed, customer returns on there with quite a generous discount.

I recently purchased this model, sold as used with 'minor blemises to accessories'. I took a gamble and expected the remote control to be a little tatty. The TV and all the accessories were in perfect A1 condition with all plastic film still in place, but there were a few light scuff marks to the tv stand, luckily I had some scratch removing cream for my mobile phone and applied this lightly to the scuffs and my stand is now perfect too....

The TV set cost me £248 delivered, so I got £52 off for the light, now invisible, scuff marks!!!!!!! Plus you get a 30 day 'satisfaction' returns warranty from Amazon as well as the manufacturers 12 month guarantee

Oh and the same model TV in Argos is £399.99

I'm looking for a cheap 37" LCD too. There doesn't seem to be many decent deals out there at the moment, but i'll keep my eyes peeled.

Please let me know if you guys come across anything.

I'm looking for a minimum 28" LCD screen TV with Freeview and HD ready (is there such a thing as an HD TV or just the "ready" ones and if so what is the difference please?) and would like to spend around £250 give or take. Any recommendations on the best value for money (as opposed to the largest screen for the cheapest price) would be much appreciated, or advice as to which retailers have the best ongoing quality/price ratio deals as I'm not in a huge rush so am prepared to wait for a good deal if I know where to look.

Don't know about anyone else but I'm getting really confused by the plethora of manufacturers and retailers available and given that this is a major purchase for us (my husband is long term sick) I don't want to make any mistakes. I don't have a credit card so will be paying by debit card or cash.

    Any help much appreciated.
