John Lewis now have the Samsung 32" A457 back in stock at £341 with the usual 5 year free guarantee and free delivery. Link here

Given that has a 5 year warranty, that is a damn good price.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Sony KDL32V4000 - probably about the fifth time I've mentioned it so far in this thread. :rotfl:

It was a bargain when I got this as well from John Lewis. £299 with a 5 year guarantee. I got lucky I think, right place at the right time after several let-downs.

  • Hi,
    My Tv has gone "put"

Don't really want to spend 350 quid but i guess if that is considered the best deal out there, then I will.

I don't want to pay 50 quid less to have that one die in a year or two.

So..I've looked on ebuyer they have a Sanyo for 299
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/153433
Can anyone suggest if this may be a good deal or should i go with J lewis?

    Thanks for your help x

go with JL - its a no brainer - and can always walk into a store face to face for assistance + the freebie enhanced warranty!

...and use a credit card for buyer protection if you really must go with an e-tailer.

  • HI all, I have just started a new thread here for an online company that appears to have very good prices on TVs and other electronics until 28th Feb.

Found it via Google's price comparison tool, however cannot find anymore info in them through the web. Company is called Kolosar - has anyone heard of them or used them before??

EDIT: from other's research (see below) the company, Kolosar, appears to be a scam so beware

If you're referring to me I am not spamming and found the kolosar site through google product search here: http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en-GB&q=pioneer+kuro&cid=11307693226230388298&sa=title#ps-sellers

I am asking whether anyone has used that site before as the prices seem too good to be true.

it's got all the trademarks of a scam site , Domain registered on 9/2/2009 , web site claims it been live since 2008 , domain registered to an address in New York , web site contact address is a house in Hackney , Telephone contact number is wrong as the zero is missing from the 0207 (looks like someone who does not know UK dialling codes)

have you actioned a whois search to see when and possibly by whom the site was registered ? Often a tell-tale indicative alarm bell ringing warning may be determined!

    http://lmgtfy.com/?q=whois

Usually it prob is too good to be true with prices like that - site registered recently it seems, US based - Record created on 09-Feb-2009

Very brave if you buy from them... dont advise it at all.

  • [STRIKE]Hi all, i just got an email from Dabs with a good offer for LCD TV's and found this. Samsung LE37A557 37" FULL HD LCD TV

    £499 incl vat

    http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?Quicklinx=5FT2&InMerch=1

Seems a pretty good deal for a brand tv.

    Anyway,just thought i'd share :)[/STRIKE]

Edit; I bought the telly and its rubbish, you have to mess around with the settings to get a decent picture that doesn't burn out your eyes.

The speakers rattle when the volume is up.

Most importantly, there is ghosting when watching fast moving images, as if the TV cant keep up with the feed.

And a strong backlight bleed- Black images appear cloudy.

My refund is "In progress", fingers crossed they don't mess me about.
