Good morning..........snow has all gone, it has been a wild and wet night , heard a few bins blowing down the street at dark o'clock! (It's bin day but have checked & mine is still there...the thought of chasing my wastepaper down the street is toooo much!)

Have PTA tonight, my first as new chairperson so hoping to inspire some fundraising ideas!
Hope everyone has a good day and can have fun in the snow if you still have it and that you stay safe if you have to go out in it!

    Morning all!

N9eav - glad you had a good birthday, happy belated birthday wishes!

Tru - congrats to Mr Tru on his new job! Hope he's not still trying to make you work in his friend's shop

Well it was very slippy driving home from work last night, think we've got about 8 inches of snow here now! Everything look beautiful! Kids and dog and cats are all going loopy outside LOL!

Well OS today will be bm, wm, td for all the wet clothes the kids will have after playing out in the snow, hoovering and cooking! Got some more cocoa last night so we shall be eating Thriftlady's choc fudge cake later - good hearty food, or that's my excuse!

Lunch - pasties that I'd made for kids packed lunches, very money saving as pastry was left over from the chicken pie on Saturday, and the filling was a scoop removed from the cottage pie mix before I topped it with potato! My lunch will be some soup from the freezer I think.

Dinner - pasta bake that was frozen from last week! Will also do pizzas I think, cos they'll be starving after being out all day!

I'm so glad that I grabbed the bits I needed yesterday at the shops! Now everyone in the village knows I always have well stocked cupboards, esp things like flour, eggs, butter, sugar, milk, so I wonder how long it'll be before I get a knock on the door from someone who needs something! We don't have any old people in the village who go un-noticed, most are related to someone here, the others all pop in and out and are friendly with everyone, we are very lucky with our little community.

Hope everyone has a good day, hugs to all in need xx

PS - Diva - absolutely fantastic news about Tristan, I'm so glad he knows that you are thinking of him and that so many people care xx

Morning everyone - I hope everyone is okay today and not suffering from the effects of the weather? It's a dry but windy day here today, no sign of snow in this direction.

Felt lousy yesterday so my plans for cooking didn't quite come off, but I made chicken pie and reheated the roast veggies, so it wasn't all bad. Not sure what I'm going to make today, I'll see if I'm struck by inspiration later. Lunch will be chicken and rice soup and some bread.

First, I'm going into the garage and then I've got a GP appointment, think this wretched cold is heading into my chest :(

Have a good day everyone and hugs all round, especially to those who need them most.

Welcome Christabell :hello: don't feel like you have to lurk. Those of us that bite have hannibal-style muzzles on ;)

Huge hugs to those who want or need one. :grouphug: Any news on Tristan, Diva?

Never mind 12 years old, I reckon my Dave is about seven! He's still a bit poorly in his tummy so he's booked two days holiday. It's a struggle to find anything he'll eat when he's like this. So I just asked him if he could have anything in the world for breakfast, what would it be? He immediately perked up and said he'd like a bacon and egg muffin from McDonalds
  • Good morning everyone,I hope your'e all well.
I'm so disappointed,I was all geared up for the big freeze and what happen's we get a little flurry and by teatime it all disappeared. It's not that cold either.Drizzly rain today though.I don't care as I got all my washing dry yesterday as it was nice and blowy.
I am so not looking forward to the rest of today.OH won't be in till after midnight as he has to take some clients out to some promotional do and so I won't see him all day.Stll I won't have to do a big meal either.
    Swings and roundabout's I suppose.
Hope you all have a good day today and get everything you need to do,done.
