    Morning :hello:

Mr tru put out some fat balls and seeds for the birds the other day but they weren't interested. I was looking out of the window yesterday and a few birds were nosying about I said "ooooooooooh there's a bird on your fat balls" and he collapsed with laughter  Men are all 12 years old :D

Mr tru starts a new job at the beginning of March :T He told them what £££s he wanted, they offered him £2K more  :j We'll be about £90 per week better off. Bout time things turned around for us, I don't post our bad news on here but believe me, we deserve it :D

I haven't got much to do today, just one load of washing and cleaning the piggies out. We chopped the pampas grass back at the weekend - we left the leaves in case hedgehogs were in there. So I have lots of the stems with the feathery bits on. I might try and make a basket out the stems  Dunno if it'll work, only one way to find out :D

Thats great tru about your bloke getting a new job and the extra money is a blessing. But dont speed it all at once if yoir luck is anything like mine then you will need it for somthing soon. in oiur house its always one set forward and then two back!!! But i wish him the best of luck with the job.
all the best have a great day:A

  • Morning all!
No fresh snow for us here in Essex BUT very icy roads and pavements. Not sure whether school will be closed (either DD's or mine) but I know I won't be going anywhere fast - took a nasty tumble yesterday afternoon, bruised the base of my spine and have right arm in a sling having wrenched my shoulder. So DD and I are still in bed ...

We enjoyed the snow though, especially the spaniels!
Dinner last night was one of our favourites - pork and potato hotpot. Plenty left over for lunch today. I have a small gammon joint to pop in the SC so will probably have some of that with salad (?!!!) tonight and the remainder can go in the lunchboxes tomorrow.

With a dodgy shoulder, I am not planning too much today - certainly not venturing out of the door. A NSD!! Yay!
    Have a good day y'all.

    Morning all

Was hoping to stay in today but have a 3 day course that starts today so will make the effort to slide down our hill in the car. I have seen a couple of cars go down this morning and it doesn't look too dangerous.

Tru your 'fat balls' remark made me laugh and remember many, many years my nan had been teaching me to knit and when she came round to ours she was just taking a sip of her tea when I piped up 'Nan, do you want to see my knickers?' (I had been trying to knit a pair for a doll I had). She spit her tea out and nearly choked herself :rotfl:
No OS today as I am out, must remember to leave the heating on low too otherwise we will all come home to a freezing house

    Stay safe everyone
