  • I'm sorry LW, I can't resist. I now have this mental image of you in kaftan, with headband, joss sticks burning in the corner, rubbing in patchouli oil and saying "Maaaaan" a lot. It's an image that's going to be hard to shift!
Nice to hear you're a motorcycle person too. In my youth, I used to ride a Kawasaki KH250 - a deplorable 2-stroke that went through a spark plug a mile. A sort of step-Uncle of mine (Barry Ditchburn) used to ride professionally with Barry Sheene and I lived close to Brands Hatch so used to spend most summers there. I still have a dream of owning a Fat Boy.
Hope you get to the pub and have a good time.

Hi all, I wish you would slow down a bit, I caught up about 6ish this evening and got half way through a reply when my Dad called, when I got back to the reply it was out of date due to a new batch of posts, since then every time I try and catch up I get a text or phone call and get behind again, I just cant catch up with you all tonight :rotfl:

Welcome to all the newbies, Im glad you've joined us and hope to get to know you better soon.

Lamewolf Diamond is a Heinz 57 sort of a cross between a lurcher and a terrier, Id like to send a picture but Im not sure how to. She is a lovely dog and mad as they come, but my baby, ds1 got her from a homeless man he knew when she was 6 weeks old, she is mad as they come and we spoil her rotten, she even has her own toy box :D

cwta I hope your ok after your fall ((()))

I cant think what else I wanted to say, Ive had a hectic day and Im overtired so my heads all over the place especially after the call from my dad. He starts his 2nd chemo course tomorrow 3 weeks on 1 week off the 3 weeks on with 20 radiotherapy sessions too it sounds really scarey to me but he's as positive as ever bless him.
I hope everyones ok and I'll hopefully have my head a bit straighter tomorrow morning.

    Hey guys,

I got OH's laptop out to finish a (very upsetting) letter to my terminally ill Aunt and managed to connect to the dodgy connection in the living room! Not sure how long it'll last so I'll not count my chickens, but glad it's will me so far :)

Raeh the parents on Friday were v badly behaved (my dad's temper has always been volatile and apparently the world was out to get him on friday  mother is very over emotional and was weepy in a childlike way at my lack of enthusiasm/excitement re the dress) and were completely ununderstanding (not that that's a word! :o) about my onslaught of IBS symptoms while out. I felt physically sick all day, to the point of wretching in shops and dashing to the loos several times, and they still wondered why I was less than responsive to them. Mother didn't even say anything about the dress! Just that -once prodded - it was pretty but that she had nothing to compare it to!! And that's the short version, unfortunately. :o

Hopeless feel free to join in, not everyone on here has fibro anyhoo, they're just hanger-onners ;)

Suep I wish you and your dad (and family) all the best in coping with the cancer. I know it's not easy, for the patient or the loved ones, and I pray you all have a sense of peace. My aunt is now terminal and but this is her 3rd and 4th type of cancer at the same time (incredibly rare) and it's been hard to see her go through any of them. :(

LW hope you made it to the pub and had a good time. Do you reckon you'd make anything on eBay trying to sell unattached extremities? :p

Going back to tele land for a while now, catch ya later folks...

I think I've lost a rib. LW, what have you done with it? Give it back, you're not funny!!!!

BZ, am I the only one here who hasn't seen your dress? The website is cool and now I know where to stalk you on your big day Aaaahahahaaaa ;)

That was my evil laugh by the way..............

It's nice to put a face to you though and you're not far from me neither.

I don't know about anyone else but I kind of have a picture of you all in my head.

Oooh, CwtA, I would love to see the northern lights. Am very jel but still hope you have an amazing time.

LW, I was thinking about you today. Was in Morrisons cafe and wondering if I would get done for nicking a batch of plaggy spoons :D

Decided against it as my hobble wouldn't make for a great getaway!!

Cwta I took your advice and steered clear of the chilli. I made Shepherds Spy instead with some carrot and swede mash, tasty! :) Leftovers will give OH a pleasant relief from butties for his lunch tomorrow too :)

Kass was that a hint? ;) You can see it here , 'xcept the detailing won't be black (as explained on the piccies :)) I have a feeling there'll be all these fibromites hiding in plain sight at the wedding trying to pass themselves off as being relatives! :rotfl:

P.s. The best way to do an evil laugh is with a bit of oomph: Mwuhahahahahaha! See? Much better ;)

P.p.s. No you're not the only one who has pictures in your head as to what we all look like :) And I did suspect you were a fellow northerner ;) So, how did I compare to the piccy in your head?

For the benefit of a previous discussion, something to smile about. ;) Or be jealous of, whichever floats your boat :D I want to be that pretty now, godsdamnit, let alone when I'm her age!

  • Raeh, I know you're only little, but I was gonna try to hide behind you at the wedding. I did think it would be rude not to try to colour match our various mobility aids to the wedding theme too.
bz, ditto what Raeh said about us making up for the parentals. And heaven help them if they try to cross s/e. :D
The Shepherds Spy sounds lovely. Don't see why OH should have it - hand it over!!

Am up early as, apart from the bleedin' noisy neighbours (I have to move) I'm having my hair done today. I always find now that if I have an appointment the next day, I never sleep well the night before.

House Fairy due on Saturday, so I need to do a clean up today so it's not all left for the last minute.

Hope everyone has a decent day and the sun smiles a little.
