Sorry for not being around much lately. My cat was poorly. She died this morning, so I'm not at my best. There is a big empty space inside me. She was 20 and my very best friend. I am trying not to cry but I miss her so much already.
I'm sorry bushbaby. you will miss her. maybe crying would be a good thing? she was not "just a cat", grieve for her like you would if she was a human best friend.
bz no i missed the bridesmaid dresses, have you a link please? im getting all excited for you.
they suspended my housing benefit due to a change in circs last year, i called them in a panic because i had not moved, it was my landlord who had. they never bothered to inform me it had been reinstated, just as well i know my landlord well and she told me. its rediculous how they operate if you ask me, even when they are given all the details before you move (and have confirmed in writing how much benefit you will get at the new address) they take months to sort it out.
as for british gas, i left them last year after they seriously messed me about, refused to bill me for a year then expected it all paid when they got their act together. they are the least efficient gas firm i know. (and i took great delight the other day in telling them politely to clear off when they called to get me back).
careful hope your feeling better today and sharon did you eventualy manage to get to sleep?

Morning people
I forgot to say yesterday - Unity - you were on a roll!! I think we need to get you onto bz's broadband problem. You scared me *grin*
Everyday, in every way, I'm getting better and better - *g*. Am now sure that have just pulled sommat in chest rather than having a chest infection. Am sleeping loads (despite the neighbours waking me 4 times during the night) and intend to tackle a little light housework today. Food cupboards fully stocked so all is well in the House of Axe.
Hugs to bz, s/e, Trialia and anyone else who needs one or even several - just don't be greedy, there's plenty to go round.
sharon, my sweet. That time in the morning is the worst isn't it. I'm glad you've got a dog that'll listen to you and provide lots of canine love. It's extra hard when you have to deal with how you're feeling and everyone else's feelings too. I hope your pain is manageable. Maybe when you feel able to, you could take yourself off into a quiet room and rant, beat up pillows, cry and scream at the world.
Sending you lots of hugs and hope everyone finds some brightness in their day.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Afternoon, friends.
Bushbaby I am so sorry about your cat. I know how much it hurts when we lose a furbaby - remember that while she lives on in your heart, she's not truly gone from you.
I've read through the last three days posts, but as usual, it's all sort of whizzing round in my head and I can't take it all in.
I did far and away too much yesterday (which is why I didn't get online) and I seem to have mislaid all today's spoons as a result.
Made bread rolls, apple pie and Shepherd Spy, sorted out and checked all the membership records for an organisation I do this stuff for to work out exactly what was in the envelope(s) the postman failed to deliver in December, and got Mr LW to take me into town to pick up my meds.
So today I ache like crazy, my head's spinning, and I just want to crawl into a hole. And mr LW is on late shift, so I don't know what time he'll be in. Luckily we have the 2nd half of the Shepherd Spy for dinner, which just has to be nuked and eaten.
I wanted to do individual replies to folks, but I think if I try, I'll make a real hash of it, so please forgive me - but know that I'm wishing all my friends here the best, whether you're dealing with a bad time, planning a wedding, or anything in between! If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Sharon I hope you managed to get back to sleep in the end hun, and Im glad you have your dog for company. Also I hope you made up for the lack of sleep at night with a nice long lie in this morning. Love and hugs to you and your family ((((())))))

So I'm having a sofa day, only thing I absolutely have to do come hell or high water, is get Mr LW to help me wash my hair this evening.
Sharon can I be cheeky and ask what your woofer is called? My little Penny-dog was such a comfort always; I still miss her, 6 years on.:o
CwtA you continue to take it easy; housework can wait. I've just slung a kaftan and a shawl on today, by way of getting dressed. Can't stay in my nightclothes, cos I don't wear any!:eek::eek::DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Unity, forgot to say - after the One Eyed Yellow Idol, which I remember Dad telling me (Dad's always know these sorts of things don't they *g*), you got me searching for the Court of Kind Karactacus (sp?) and Abdul de bul bul de mere bloke thingywotsit. hi everyone else
OH MY GOD!!! That's what they did to me!!!! They wouldn't let me pay them either. Said they wanted it all at once and I said I didn't have it all at once but would be happy to set up a DD to pay monthly plus extra on top to pay what I owed. They wouldn't have any of it and kept on saying they wanted it all and wouldn't take it in bits. I was all shreeky (sp?) on the phone on lots of occaisions going "why won't you let me pay you!!!". They then said they were getting a warrant and accompaniment by the police to come and change my meter to a pre-payment one. I rang them and said they needed neither as I was quite happy for them to come and change it. That went on for a further two years with an average of one letter a month stating the same thing followed by phone calls from me stating the same thing. I ended up living in that house for around 5 years without paying a penny because they wouldn't take it!!! THE FREAKS!!! :rolleyes:
Right......Helloooooooo everyone!!!!
It's taken me hours to go through all the posts! Have you missed me???
I'm going to reply to posts later when I've found where my spoons are hidden. Watching Boogie Pete has tired me out but I absolutely love him!! For those of you without kids, he is on Boogie Beebies on the CBeebies channel at 3.45pm.
Bye for now xxxx0 -
Grrr I came back from the GP's and refreshed my browser loads cos I couldn't believe noone had been on today, then started writing a post, clicked "Go Advanced" and my browser told me I couldn't do that while "working offline" and lost everything I'd written!! I have to go and pick OH up from work now, but should be back later, when I'll fill you all in and give you that link PCL (unless any of these kind efficient ladies beat me to it
).
Catch ya in a bit."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0
