Thanks for that Jamla, I think anyone who has ever lost a pet will be touched by that poem, I have heard it before, but will write it down this time. It made me think of my springer spaniel Rosie who passed on about 8 years ago, I still miss her but it doesn't hurt as much now. I am really scared of losing Diamond, my little heinz 57, she will be 11 soon, we lost Rosie at 11 so I am a bit anxious about Diamond, she is really healthy though and still playful as a puppy so fingers crossed she will be with us for a few more years yet.
Bushbaby Im so sorry for your loss :grouphug: I hope you can take comfort in the fact that your cat had a long and happy life with you.
Also good luck tomorrow, let us know how you get on.
Sunshine welcome:hello: Good luck with your Rheumi appReal stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

Yay! I have Housing and Council Tax Benefits again! They unceremoniously suspended them a few weeks ago and I had to reapply, because of the "change in circumstances" that moving house seems to constitute. I went to the Town Hall immediately to sort it out, but of course it's still taken weeks... but I have it back now...PHEWF!
I still feel rubbish today and have to go food shopping with OH soon. Still not had a shower cos the flipping heating didn't do it's job and it's too cold for all that malarky  so I'd best crack on I guess..."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
P.s. yes, Raeh, I did have something relatively nutritious to eat...providing that a chickan and cheese toastie and some tangy cheese doritos counts? Esp when followed up by the best extremely chocolatey cookies by Fox's bisquits
OH is now on the phone to British Gas as despite a call to them over the weekend that went on for about an hour or more, sorting out the 3 profiles!! they have set up for me at this and old address!! and the 8 bills I'd been sent without reference to which house they were for!!!, their automated "pay us or we send debt collection" call up service rang up today about bills for the old house in an incorrect name that's already been dealt with!!  What is going on!?! Surely there was a day when things were doneeffectively and efficiently? Surely it will come again? Surely??"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
bushbaby, so sorry to hear about your little purr baby. 20 is a great age for a cat, so you must have provided her with a lovely happy life.
bz BG are about on par with BT in my assessment of efficiency. Good luck. Maybe when they do finally get things right it would pay to see who is the best and cherapest supplier for you.
raeh, I am starting to feel a little better, but still have noodles for legs. Am feeling so feeble that even the 5 step walk from car to bank and back again totally wiped me out. Suspect it may take me a while to get back to an even keep after this and it's getting frustrating.
But the choice for tomorrow if to either tackle the ironing or buy some new clothes to wear. Difficult choice!
I haven't made the cake yet, but recipe was given to me by a friend and he specifically asked for feedback on it, so am not sure if he concocted it himself?!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

Have left BG in the capable hands of my affronted (on my behalf) fiance!!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Quick wave to folks - still got very sore muscles which is a bit rediculous after this amount of time.
Auntie Axe please take things easy and give yourself a chance to recover.
Rae - how long before you get the results of your blood tests? Sorry, I know you said in an earlier post but I've forgot.
Zippy - have you asked BG if their tarriff for people on disablility benefits is open to you? Sorry, can't remember what it's called, but I went on it back in October and having checked on one of the comparison sites recently found that the next best provider would cost £22 a year more.
Was going to say something else, but the brain's still in sludge mode - you all know what I mean.s/e0 -
bz dont start me on BG  they sent my mum a leaving bill for almost £400 for her final month when she moved and then 'reduced it for her' to about £150 as long as she paid immediately!! i have a large 4 bed house and even i cant run a bill up of that much in a month!! she kept getting the automated calls which i consider threatening to a pensioner that has a number of anxiety problems and she had kept phoning them to say the bill was incorrect and gotten nowhere, so i phoned and after ranting on the phone to some poor fella for over half an hour and constantly telling him that no i wasnt satisfied and shouting about harrassment he eventually wrote off the bill just to get rid of me
i hope you can get it all sorted soon
auntie axe make sure you are taking care of yourself and rest until you are completely over this. Have you no neighbours or friends nearby that could help out?? I wish, as has been said before, that we were all nearer to each other
s/e im not sure what you read of my reply when i got the results but i was expecting them on the thursday and the receptionist rang on the monday to say they were back with 'indications' and i need some different ones doing but couldnt fit me in until the 17thim not worrying about it until the 17th [honestly
] she wouldnt tell me what the results had come back as except it didnt say urgent so couldnt be too bad  i really should have rung back and asked to speak to the gp but iv left it too long now so il wait
blummin jobsworth receptionists
i hope your muscles are feeling better soon, are you resting enough for them to recover?

dont want to bug you constantly asking how things are
oops i only meant to nip in and say goodnight and iv rabbited on as usual

Ugh, utility companies! I am so p*ssed at Scottish Power right now. They just sent me and my housemate a bill for £450 for gas and electric just for January, and won't listen to the fact that I'm disabled and on benefit and my housemate can only work part-time. They won't even set up a decent payment plan for us, they want £150 by the end of next week - and neither of us has any cash at all until the following Monday. *headdesk*Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0
