Yay! I conquered the ironing mountain! It feels so good to be able to be a little active again. I thought about tackling the kitchen, but wouldn't want to peak too early!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0

bz, i pm'd pcl for ya's
hope you are ok
sharon, i am so sorry you sound so alonei do so wish we could all be nearer for you to lean on us. Dogs are marvelous for sitting and just listening without needing to have an opinion. I do think also that sometimes our family are too close?? Its often easier like on here to open up and honestly talk about feelings to people we dont know so well. Do you have a friend that you could talk to properly or who could talk to your dh and gently let him know that you are needing the support?? sorry if im talking out of place and having opinions i shouldnt have
im well known for that! we are all here as much as we can be should you need us on messenger or even the phone xx ((hugs))
lw, sue, s/e, auntie axe and anyone feeling less well than usual i hope you are all rested and feel much better soon xx
sorry mush brain has given up now!! if anyone finds any spare spoons pass them my way would you as doing these full days is absolutely doing me in and im still running on plastic disposable ones from the other week :rolleyes:2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000
Thank you to everyone who posts comps xxx0 -

Lamewolf I hope you got your hairwashed and enjoyed your sofa day
I slept most of the afternoon and Im still tired, Diamond (my dog) wont let me rest though, she wants to play and keeps jumping up and down with a squeaky teddy in her mouth, I wouldn't mind but Ive played for ages already, honestly you wouldn't think she's almost 11Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

suep, aww bless at the dog wanting to play. Dear of her.
The family greyhounds are ex-racers that we re-homed and they don't really "get" play. I do play hide and seek with them though.
I've just read that last sentence back and it sounds weird, but am sure that dog owners will know what I mean.
kass, yes, of course we missed you. CBeebies scares me - it's way above my intellectual level *g*.
Housework is obviously bad for you - you tidy up all your spoons and then you can't find them when you need them.
For the last couple of days, I've been itching and scratching like crazy even though I haven't been near the stuff that makes us itch. Where I've scratched, my skin feels almost bruised. Strange.
You can tell I'm feeling better - I'm posting loads again. Sorry *g*.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Hi everyone,
Sorry i dont get to come in here so much. I'm sorry to hear that 1 or 2 of you have lost pets recently, the loss can affect you just as much as a relative, specially if they've been with you a long time.
I just would like to ask if any of you on here manage to hold down a job as well as trying to cope with this stupid condition (fibro). Suppose it would be nice to compare notes cos I only manage to work part time and it consumes ALL of my energy.........I really really wish I could reduce my hours right down.
Hope you all have a peacefull night and manage to get some sleep.......goodnight xxxxxxxxxx0 -
Hi guys
I went food shopping with OH on the way back from picking him up, then went to his house for him to walk the dogs, then came home and had a late tea whilst watching some Grey's Anatomy, so only just getting back on the puter for a little catch up before boboes.
Saw my GP today and he confirmed what I thought about the Sibutramine kicking my IBS off, along with help from the non-existant (at the time) Pregabalin not using it's antispasmodic powers. I was also right not to take the full dose of Pregabalin until now too, as the half life of the Sibutramine means it's only just really left my system, so yay me for having a brain for once!He was a little perplexed by my reaction to the Sibutramine ("that's odd cos people are normally fine on it" "yes, but I am a little odd, aren't I" "Hahaha, yes, you said it!") but also pleased to hear that the Pregabalin is actually doing what it should be, in that the symptoms were unbearable without it. Got me some more Tramadol too, phew. I ran out last week and it's not been pleasant! He did tell me that because my IBS has now been woken up again it'll take a while for it to go down again, as they're now inflammed or irritated or whatever word he used... I told him about the cold I've had for like 2 months and he just said I had to let it run it's course, but I asked him again about taking psuedoephedrine (aka Sudafed) cos last time he told me I shouldn't take it and he said I'd be fine for about a week on it so I'll try that on my most snuffly days I think. I did say, in response to the "let it run it's course" that it's already had 2 months! but he just said it should be gone by June
I said "I should hope so! The wedding's in September!!" (for those who've been asleep, yes I'm getting married!!
)
I also realised last night, whilst OH was getting enraged with BG and Sky, that I hadn't actually cancelled my water account at the old house! So I got on the phone to them today and got that sorted, even getting a refund for £35ish, so that's not too shabbyShows I must be feeling a bit less little now too I spose.
I know you didn't really need to know all that, but I've typed it now, so ner!
So onto you lot:
Kass course we missed you! Raeh's been waiting to see what extremities LW's manage to collect in her dustpan and brush
Raeh thanks for sending PCL the link for the dressesI'm getting more excited about seeing my dress now
Can't believe I've finally just made the decision and I can stop stressing about it now and just get excited about it :j Still need to pick my veil and get an underskirt hoopy thing for it, but they're not so urgent
Sharon sorry you couldn't sleep and you're finding it tough. I wish I had more helpful things to say, but I think that's half the problem sometimes, isn't it? That people are so desperate to change things that they don't just be with you?
CWTA glad you're feeling better again now and are putting in more of an appearance. 'Bout time too!Congrats on your ironing accomplishment! I don't even bother anymore, 'xcept the odd shirt for OH
Welcome back Shirlthegirl :wave:Somebody_else wrote:Zippy - have you asked BG if their tarriff for people on disablility benefits is open to you? Sorry, can't remember what it's called, but I went on it back in October and having checked on one of the comparison sites recently found that the next best provider would cost £22 a year more.
Trialia nice to see you again. Sorry you're having a nightmare with BG.The inefficiency hassles are so much more annoying and energy sapping, aren't they?
Reet, I think that's me off to bed. Catch you tomorrow peeps, hope you all sleep well"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
night all been a long daythe truth is out there ... on these pages !!0

Hi Shirlthegirl theres no need to apologise for not being on here as much as some of us, theres no rules, just pop in whenever you feel like it. I had to give up working in 2000, I was a care assistant in a rest home before that.
I know there are a few who work on here and Im sure they'll be able to answer your question.
I woke up in a lot of pain again this morning, but Im determined to get out to meet my friends for lunch today, I met them all at a fibro group about 4 years ago and we've been meeting up ever since. We don't often mention Fibro though, just have a gossip and a giggle, I always feel better for going.
Hope everyone has a good dayReal stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

Hi all! *waves* :hello:
I'm also a Fibro bod (not a sufferer-I refuse to 'suffer' :rotfl: ) and have been in denial for too many years, so have now been bitten on the bum and unable to work for a year and a half, due to the exhaustion side of things and migraine headaches/acheyness and well...pain.
Anyways-I now have a diagnosis 'proper' of FM and hypermobility from a rheumatologist, as well as chronic urticaria, IBS, dermagraphism, perennial rhinitis yada yada...
*bores herself and drops off*
I was just wondering if I was able to claim anything/get any help with adaptations around the house? I have been sooo stubborn before now but I am really struggling at the moment and find it hard to do 'everyday' things a lot of the time-just things like getting my sorry self out of the bath and so on.
My doctor is a lovely man but has told me nothing, tbh. Also-would I be eligible for attending a pain clinic for help, does anybody know, please?
I am 34, have two children, hubby working long hours, erm...hello again?! lol
*is a bit embarrassed*
TY in advance xxx(((spoons)))0
