hope everyone can maanhge a quiet restful weekend (after the hen do if necessary).

bz have a good time at the hen do and dont spend all day today stressing too much about it.

last night chloe brought not one but 3 moths, 2 of which she brought to my bedroom. i woke up this morning to mr ginger cat investigating my bed, when i sat up and looked at him he wondered over and sniffed whitney before getting down, she was so sound asleep she didnt even notice.

Oh I'll certainly try :) I've got in the stuff to make some Steamboats before leaving (lime, lemonade and Southern Comfort ;)) too ;) I'm not stressing about the night - just whether I'll have enough time to get ready properly as I have to go into town with DF now and get him some glasses picked out! He managed to drop a 2l bottle of coke on his previous pair, snapping the bridge  He does have a spare pair but can't find them, and he needs them to drive legally...so I've been ferrying round all week and it's knackering me out...so hopefully he'll get some today!!

  • bz Hope you manage to get ready without getting too stressed and that DF finds some funky glasses so you can have a rest.

pcl How sweet - the little ginger obviously recognises someone who will appreciate him - wait til he starts bringing you pressies in too! How is it that cats manage to suss out what creature will freak you out the most and then present you with that? Sneaky little beggers

I have a thumper of a headache again so will wait until it's a little cooler and attack the lawns - if I don't do them soon, it'll be a month before I can get to them again and they're likely to be waist high.

Nice surprise this morning - a real competition win! Have won a Sony Reader from Waterstones! Much as I like to have actual books in my hand, for the days when I am past anything but lying down, it'll be handy for audio books.
Hugs to everyone - am feeling affectionate today :D

PCL Sounds like youve been adopted by Mr ginger cat. Animals seem to know whos going to like them and who wont dont they. Diamonds made friends with the students next door and when they have their front door open she just wanders in to say hi and makes herself at home :D

cwta Congratultaions on wining the reader, I'd love one of them, theres a comp in my local paper for one, I think I'll enter. Looking forward to seeing your raised veg beds, I might get ds2 to build me one.

Ds1 and family have just gone home so Im officially going to rest now.

i suspect he is being locked outside at night, hence the repeated coming into my warm and dry house. chloe is deffnitely scared of him, whitney has yet to ever be awake enough to notice him afaik. i hope he isnt the reason chloe has started bringing presents though, she never has before. is she saying "look mommy keep, me im good i bring you presents"?

cwta yay on the reader, im jealous. ive spent a few hours doing comps a few times, and got nothing for my troubles apart form increased spam. i dont know how you guys can fill int hose blloming forms frequently enout to win decent prizes once in a while.

bz hope you ahve managed a decent lie in or a decent nap this afternoon ready for this evening.
  • pcl I use an automatic form filler called Roboform which is brilliant. I'm sure I remember it being a free download. I can look out a link for you if you can't locate it yourself.
I think cats just bring in pressies coz they can! It may be that chloe has just discovered her hunting instinct and found something she can catch. She's then bringing them home to her family. I think it's a positive sign rather than a negative. I'm sure if little Mr ginger keeps coming, she'll get used to him and not be scared.

sue I creosoted most of the raised bed today and cut the lawns, but I'll hold on to post a photo until I've done the clearing up of the debris which I always put off *g*
Have a good rest now you can.

i ight d/l roboform, i think i had it years ago but hit problems because it showed up as spam or something. google toolbars fomr filler refused to fill ina bout 3/4 of the forms i came across. that can be tomorrows task :)

hopefully since today ahs been dry and sunny there wont be any creatures for her to catch. i really need to grab mr ginger and see what, if any, his name tag says. i just remembered that in whitneys first year in sheffield we had a ginger tom cat adopted us. he was th eonly cat she would allow in the house and she slept curled against him on my bed. he eventually came with a note taped to his colour saying im on a diet please dont feed me. at least its not the all fighting that wakes me up when he comes in, id not hear him at all if the bell wasnt such an unusual sound in my house.
