been a lovely sunny warm day -been fairly good-made some chutney, load washing, and sewed myself a bag for my pegs-very random!!!
Its really hard keeping still/resting due to these flipping steroids but am trying to listen when family call a halt to my antics!!!
Hubby kindly pointed out earlier that my face is nicely rounded-ld not noticed but now am conscious of it.The hunger they cause is crazy -and my sweet tooth is in overdrive-will have try harder with fruit as a munchie.
Thinking of BZ and fingers crossed she has a very special night.
CWTA-big hugs for you back-lm feeling huggy as well today-its nice to pass some on!
:j this money saving is such fun:T

    morning all

so far in the 30mins i ahve been up chloe has brought me a moth (into the living room) and whitney a moth (into my bedroom). at least i have managed to cover them and get them oputside again wihtout screaming and waking the neighbours. i have never looked at moths incredibly closely before, but these ones have 2 sets of wings and very distinct body shapes. and the wings rattle when they are hovering along the ground. maybe chloe has decided to try and make me loose at least one irrational phobia.

bz hope you had a good time :)

Good for you with the moths - I hate the bloomin' things! I can't stand the noise their wings make or their fat furry little bodies - I think the only thing I like less is bats

It's a short post today because I am shattered. I had one good day last week, Wednesday when I felt almost normal (for me :o) then Thursday came, along with the scalding sensation on my face and another set of blisters :(. In the space of 24 hours the joint pains soared and the tiredness set in, together with a sick-making headache. I slept most of yesterday totally away and don't know where it went  - in fact I felt drugged when I hadn't taken anything extra despite the additional pain.

The weather is helping a little, although there seem to be rain clouds heading in from the north. DH has headed off to the supermarket to get a few things in - I was hoping to go with him, but I know I can't manage the walk and I'm not taking the 'spacka wagon':D (no offence intended - my chair, my description:p).

18 days countdown to injections :j.

  • Posting a bit late in the day but thought I would drop in to say hello.
Dad had a bit of an unfortunate incident yesterday and walked into an up and over door on the tack shed. It caught him just under his nose and his whole top lip is swollen and purple. I'm teasing him about having a trout pout, but in reality I was quite shocked at the injury. Am taking him to GPs on Tuesday to get his Warfarin levels checked and I'll make sure they look at all his bumps and bruises. I think it's knocked his confidence (we all know that feeling) and he still seems a little shaky. He hates fuss though, so treading the right line is hard sometimes between caring, being practical and being a daughter.
Anyway I raided his tool shed and borrowed a spade and how to tidy up the garden a bit, but it's a little too wet so I may have to have an afternoon with a book. Shame!!

bz I hope you had a seriously good time.

Unity I feel for you and wish I could wave that magic wand, but you'll have to make do with very gentle but heart-felt hugs instead.

pcl As you hate the moths so much it was so brave of yu to deal with them. I don't mind moths actually, but frogs and spiders are a whole other barrel of giraffes *g*

it was better than leaving them to vanish in the house and then not know when one was going to attack me. tubberware container to chuck on top of them and piece of cardboard to scoot under then both minus the moth get retrieved form outside. one of this mornings didnt survive so i took a picture...(theyre in my photobucket and should be public) im not entirely sure they are actually moths, nor grasshoppers, crickets or dragonflies lol they are something though. i shall find out :) and omfg there are pictures of people holding moths *shudders*

These injuries are always more painful when you are old or infirm and that just about covers all of us :D. Seriously though I hope he feels better soon.

I keep meaning to say that I think Whitney is a great name for a cat :rotfl:, but I keep hearing it shouted in a Bianca style voice :D.

cwta hope your dad recovers asap, and doesnt fight you too much over letting the doctor check everything out.

unity she was i believe named after whitney houston, black cat black singer was the reasoning i think i remember her previous owner having given but it was eons ago and i was only a wee un so i could be making that up. her previous owner was a big whitney houston fan though (the dog we got a few years later got called tammy after tammy winette to keep the singer theme going).
