  • lw First dogs, now ferrets! I had to read the first part of your message three times, before I realised I was being "weasily" distracted *g*

Another day of running around and then took Dad to lunch. Will have a nap this afternoon and then plan a full day (including getting up early) sorting out house tomorrow.

sue Finally got next book in post to you and bz Packet is on its way back to you.

    Hugs to all.

We went into town yesterday, Mr LW got his hair cut (he looks a lot tidier now), and we went in search of a throw to put on the new sofa when it arrives, for when I have canine guests. No luck - nothing - nada. John Lewis have some, but they're mega-expensive and very heavy. I want one that's light enough for me to just bung in the washing machine. May try the market, methinks - I'm sure I've seen some that are like lightweight blankets with a paw print design on, which would be perfect.

Sorry, I seem to be obsessing on dogs, for some reason.....:D

LW If you have a B&M Bargains near you - have a look in there for fleeces to cover the sofa - I got a couple for the conservatory just to put over the leather sofa whilst the cats are in there over night. They are easily big enough and only cost a couple of £'s - so I got the two so that one can always be in the wash. They dry in no time at all as well, which is also a great help.

I've had more blisters and swollen glands again since the weekend and a urinary infection as well - but this time I'm using Manuka honey 15+ UMF and it's working great. A dear friend recommended it and if it works for her with Cauda Equina and a permanent catheter, it must be good;). As far as I'm concerned if I can manage to get through this without anti-flybotics I will be happy as there are just too many I am allergic to.

Well I am off for a snooze before the S & B tonight, which I am determined to get to. Luckily DH drops me off and comes back for me, as he's a gem  and I also want to ing a place in London to check if they have a copy of a knitting magazine that I missed. I've been into Kemps today (it's the talk of the knitting thread - it's such a great shop) but I managed to come away with only buttons and didn't succumb to the Yarn Demons :D.

I seem to keep just missing you - either here or on FMS-UNCUT, so I will probably do as you suggest tomorrow afternoon ;). I'm saving all the first series of True Blood and will burn them all on to one DVD. I Can hardly wait for New Moon to hit the cinemas - I gave in and bought the 'Twilight' DVD which I'm sure I'll watch quite often. I did get the book thanks - in fact I pm'd you on here to let you know - hope you got the message. I have read that series though, so I just passed it on to another friend - spreading the vampire lurve :rotfl:. I thought it was me who told you about them but then, my memory is non-existant.

    Have a great weekend.

Thanks Unity I've checked their online Store Finder, and unfortunately there's not one anywhere near here. I daresay I'll find something suitable eventually. I have time; the new sofa won't be here for a few weeks yet, and I'm not worried about the old (extremely saggy) one.

Have been lurking today whilst trying to sort out complicated family fueds/niggles. No luck so far, lol ;)
Going (when DF gets back from work) to see the wedding cars available to us (the guy reckons he's got one nicer than the one we saw) and pick one. Then going Trafford Centre to look for shirts/shoes/belts for the groomsmen and meeting the bride (who's weddin is the day before ours) there to have a look at a potential wedding dress for her, as hers has been ruined by a "seamstress"!! Can you imagine?? I'd've gone beserk!! All that money down the drain too, poor girl.

That's awful! Can she get any recompense for this? Poor girl, she must be gutted.

Not that I'm aware of. The dress was bought at a discount warehouse last year and the alterations done by some Polish woman who barely understood what they were asking for and doesn't seem to have a proper shop. Her nana insisted on using them, and as she was paying the bride didn't feel she could object. You can bet I would've!
But the nana has said that she can get another dress if she wanted.....um....let me take a moment to think about that...? At least it's wedding sale season at the moment, and as she's broken her wrist she has the time to look around. Plus she has me on her side this time round of course ;)

Ive just collapsed on the sofa after having g/d for the afternoon again, I love having her but it really does me in. It's not for much longer though as her Mum will be giving up work soon to thave the new baby and she said afterwards shes only going to work 1 evening and Saturdays when ds2 can look after the little ones, I must admit Im relieved, theres no way I could manage 2 of them.
Sharon Im so sorry hun, nothing I say can make it any better for you, but I hope that they can find another course of action. ((((Hugs))))
cwta Thankyou for posting the next book, is there anymore after this one ? I hope your not overdoing it too much
pcl Thankyou, I did have a better night last night, but Im afraid this afternoon with g/d has put me back to square 1.
Unity The book I sent was the next one in the series that Id previously sent you, did you read it ? when your friends read it could you send it back please as dd's going to start reading the series when she's finished the Twilight series. I brought the film too and after she watched it she was obsessed with the actor who plays Edward, so she's started reading them now.
She's gone to Goodwood Ladies day today and looked lovely all dressed up, I dont know how she's managing to stand in the sky scraper heels she wore though.
Hope everyone else is ok x

Suep, I home school mine so never get a ruddy break lol. I have a 5 year old, 3 year old and 9 month old. I am so tired. DH has no surviving family and I am only in contact with my Dad and Step mum and they live in France, so not much use for babysitting lol!

tiresix That must be hard work, but very rewarding at times, your very brave. It's funny you've mentioned this actually, Ive just had an email from a friend who is thinking about homeschooling her son, so I might have to ask you a few questions about it if she goes ahead. Her sons autistic.

 short and sweet as i'm doing this on my (new) phone from in bed. Why is it i still haven't remembered that if i don't want to be up all night, when i have anything like a fever, i should take some paracetamol?! Sigh. Hoping it kicks in soon and i get some sleep soon. I'm goin into manchester tomorrow (with t'other bride) lookin for underwear for the big day, so wish me luck! I could do with all the sleep i can get, esp as DF won't be there to push me in a chair and t'other bride has a broken wrist!
