DF's trying to go smoke free today...we'll see how he does. He absolutely has to give up before we're married because we'll only have a literal £5 left after paying bills, providing we stay within budgets. There is absolutely no money for it. Plus his dad died from lung cancer and his mum's health's appalling so it worries me (and him).
Dogs are deffo preferable!! When do your foster dogs arrive lw?
*SIGH* had a call today, Kara's owner's cancelled the holiday, so she won't be coming now.
But on a brighter note, there's a possibility of a blind 12 yr old poodle - dates to be announced! The people she usually goes to can't take her, so she may come here.
I'll still be having our pal's dog, Molly; she arrives this Friday.
Btw, I meant to say I hope your DF had a good birthday, and I wish him best of luck with quitting the evil weed. Like I said, if I can do it, anyone can.:oI'm a tad concerned. I got a letter today from my doctors. "Following your recent blood test results the doctor would like you to make an appointment to see him to discuss the results" with a blood form to repeat one of the blood tests (FBC).They only sent it as a letter as they couldn't get hold of me by phone (apparently) and want me to update my contact details.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
bz the amount of infections you have had recently could well have messed up your blood count, esp the white cell count iirc. they are probably repeating it to be sure its back to normal rather than because there is anything to worry about (though obviously i am not a doctor and could be talking nonsense since im going by memory of things learnt 10 years ago). made the appointment yet?0

I had the blood tests originally because I asked him to support me in getting the dental abcess procedure brought forward, due to the effect on my immune system etc. I'm hoping that he's picked up on the tests that I was right and that he's gonna write the letter now. I hope that's all it is. Hope.:o"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

blackpaw sorry you probably realised that the info about the aquarium I inadvertently addressed to pcl was to you.
bz You must be feeling poorly - you didn't take the mic out of me for my mistake!
lw Hope you enjoy your time with Molly-dog. A lady I'm only just getting to know who is recovering from having a brain tumour removed is just about to take delivery of a 4 month old Bulldog puppy called Oscar. I can't wait to meet him!
I think if anything ever happened to the cat, I would consider getting a dog - I think they can enhance your social life more than cats can - dog walkers always seem to talk to each other and it's a good reason to get out everyday.
Amazing how blind dogs cope so well.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
