If you look under 25 and are buying Ibuprofen and/or Paracetamol in Sainsburys (might be other places as well), you will be ID'ed.
At 28 I am IDed for everything and have mostly managed to talk my way out of it but it has become really hard and I am mostly refused these days so I am finally going for ID. I am doing the urgent ID thing which is going to cost me £26 Can you believe it?
I was going to do the non urgent one but seeing as though my DH is pretty much housebound with his mental/physical health problems and we really need paracetamol and ibuprofen I have decided that I can't really wait the 28ish days it takes because I don't want to get caught out.
This whole proof of age thing is just getting absolutely ridiculous.
Hope everyone is kinda of in a bearable phase at the moment!0 -
tire i get paracetamiol and ibuprofen on prescription, 100 pills at a time as opposed to the max 32 you can purchase. however i have always had a problem with being ided, so my driving liscence lives in my purse all the time, last time i got ided buying cigarettes i was 29 and the age limit was still 16 for them.0

I am so sorry you are having an awful time Unity. Wish there was something I could do to help. Am thinking of you anyway and sending good thoughts.
I have the feeling that if I got MBT's I would fall off them even more than I do with usual shoes *g* Am keeping everything available crossed for a quick appointment for you.
pcl I haven't been to the cinema for over 10 years - my concentration wanes if I'm kept in one place for too long, even if I'm enjoying the experience. I prefer DVDs too blackpaw
pcl I love the sound of your wedding outfit! Can you make a tie for the hat using orange bailer twine?
sharon Sounds like all the aids will make life a lot easier - hope they all arrive quickly. Thank the lord for the NHS!
Saucy If you give him the note as an example of how bad a typical day is for you, he can then understand and ask appropriate questions rather than you feeling you have to pour it all out to him which can be harder iyswim. Good to know that you've got some care in place and good luck for Friday.
bz Aww, how sweet (vomits) *g*.
I briefly tried to work out how many days were left but brain gave up and anyway it might freak you out. Good work on the Order of Service.

Why is it that my doctors always get funny about prescribing para and ibu then?
Doctors are a peculiar species I have decided.
One doctor I had at the beginning of this year, refused to believe I had been to pain management, wouldn't look in my records, would prescribe me meds that I had been prescribed for a couple of years before my pregnancy and during my pregnancy last year and 'why' you might ask........
Because he didn't want a 27 year old mother to be on potentially addictive medications.
never mind the amount of pain I was in, the fact that not having the meds was having a worse effect on me and my children, never mind the fact that these were my regular meds.
IDIOT.
I complained about him and left the surgery, that was the last straw really.0 -

lw Had a thought (must be a lucky day!*g*) I don't use the book on Artisan Bread except for the basic recipe whereas you are always baking. I'm happy to send it to you if you are happy pming me your address? I'm trying to have a cut down on the amount of books I have and I do prefer to pass them to a home where they will be loved than just to a charity shop.

I'll find it *g* and let you know when I've posted it.

Unity I hope you get an app very soon. I didnt bother finishing the PM course I went on just before xmas last year, it was a complete waste of time for me, Id done it about 8 years ago and they'd told me it was different and much better now, but it was the same old stuff just re-hashed. Becuase I didnt complete the course they wont see me anymore, but they were pretty useless anyway , so it's no loss.
I'll have another look at those shoes again, they were much too expensive for me last time I looked.
cwta Im intrested in your aquarium and would love to see a piccie of it
Did you say you had the next book in that vampire series ? I sent the last one to Unity ( I hope she got it I forgot to ask ) If you've finished it could I have it please please grovel grovel, I'll send you a cheque to cover the postage, you've sent me loads of books and it must be adding up.
pcl DD's gone to see The Proposal this evening with her friend, she said it looks really funny. I will probably wait for Harry Potter to come out on DVD as I usually spend more time in the loo at the cinema than watching the film.
Saucysecrets Just want to agree witht he others about writing down a typical day/week for your dr, they are usually happy to have anything that helps.
Sharon Im glad your getting lots of help/aids from the ss. Ive had a stair lift for about 8 years and my OT got us a grant from the council for it, I dont know if their still available but there were several grants available if the council turned me down. I hope you find one soon.Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.
