(((Sue))) I never had kids, so I can't really put myself in your place, but for goodness sake come here and let off steam when DD gets to you.

It sure is quiet without BZ; hopefully she's on track for the wedding, though. It's surprising how quickly those next few months will disappear!

    afternoon all :)

been a quiet day today and im sad as its back to school on monday
i collected a parcel from the PO and it was a prize from go cat, a crinkly bag for cats to play in, this i thought would be perfect because as soon as i put a shopping bag or handbag down the kitten jumps in, will she go anywhere near this?? will she heck ...
i really feel i should have done something with the kids it being last day but they have seemed happy playing on their consoles and doing nothing :p we have been bowling twice and cinema once so i dont feel too *G word*

i hope everyone has had a reasonable day, its been nice this morning but has gone quite chilly and dull now :(

sue im glad your day was better today :)

LW did you get the pasta maker changed? :)

Auntie Axe where are you today? i hope you are ok as you havent been on ;)

Brain is fried today as have spent the day on paperwork. Completed IB assessment for renewal, and continued doing a bit of DLA form. We all now how completing these make you feel.

On the positive side, I am submitting application to HA's and can add a medical statement in support of my application which may well swing the balance a little in my favour. Fingers crossed.

Dreading babysitting Dad whilst his wife is away from Tuesday next week. Can't stop him drinking, but can at least try to make sure he's safe.
Took him out for lunch on Thursday and he was completely bladdered on Vodka by mid-day.
Sorry to be self-obsessed at the moment, although this does seem to be a theme with me recently. I need to stop being so introspective.
Hugs and love to all - including Sharon of course.
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

hi shirl :) the confusion is what we talk about calling it fibro fog, we all seem to suffer to some extent and mine gets worse the more tired and in pain i am, i have days where i just cant think of the basic words for things. Before i started coming into this thread i actually had been quite concerned about alzeimers :o plus i dont think the age thing helps matters

Hi CwtA, we posted at the same time :) well done on getting started on the paperwork, its something i seem to put off more and more these days as it all looks foreign when i look at the words :o i have a sheet to fill in for each child for them to take some money out of the PO that was put in when they were little -birthday and xmas monies - and they want to spend some now, one sheet and i keep looking at it and it gives me a head ache just looking  good luck with the application :)

raeh I dont think you have anything to feel guilty about, your kids have had a great week by the sound of it. I had a good laugh at your cat, they are contrary little blighters aren't they. I love cats and we used to have 3, but 1 died of a tumour and the other 2 got run over when we moved to this house as it's on a busy road so we will stick to a dog for now unless we move somewhere quieter. I do miss them though.

Thanks for all the concern about me,you are all so lovely. I had a sleep this afternoon and when I woke up dh and dd had cleaned the house from top to bottom except the hoovering as they didnt want to wake me, dh did that when I woke up. It might not sound much to some of you who have kind supportive families, but if you knew my family you would be as shocked as I was ;) And tomorrow dh is taking me to see a scooter he's seen advertised, he said it could be an early birthday pressie :j
