Well done Raeh! My mum was an Opera Singer, so I hate it too
That being said, Aida is a wonderful one to see if it is staged correctly - there was one staging in Egypt, I think, in the shadow of the pyramids which must have been incredible.
I have stopped doing comps in sulky mood as I never win anything! For the first month or so of this year, I waited for the post or the phone with baited breath, to no avail so I decided to teach them by stopping entering:rolleyes:
seaside, thank you for the update. I'm sending lots of hugs and positive thoughts her way.
Kass, that is good news for your friend. I'm waiting and hoping for some similar good news for a friend of mine too. She lost both her Mum and Dad to cancer so is, understandably, very scared. How awful that she is having to wait 2 weeks for biopsy results.
LameWolf, I used to be the same with handbags, but I have a little stock of them now so, in theory, will never need to buy another one again
I couldn't find the ones I bought on the East website, but if anyone is really interested, I'll post piccies.
Now I must phone hairdressers and cancel appt as I've spent the money! It can wait a few weeks to get it done, no prob.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
i rang my step mum and she was thrilled to be going to the opera
that must have been amazing under the pyramids, they are amazing enough by themselves when you are stood there!
just got an email to say iv won a set of magic tree house books so you really have to keep going cwta and the prizes will start coming
my obsession with handbags started after i had the kids, i was never bothered before and couldnt understand why people dragged one around but then after years of carrying big changing bags, when i no longer needed one, i treated myself to a lovely bag and so it began ...... :rolleyes:2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000

Hi all,
Well LW, I feel less like the wreck of the Mary Rose and probably more like the wreck of the Titanic - sunk! :rotfl:. Another bad night, made marginally better by listening to Will Cookson's 'Songs for a Sunday' - especially Bedtime Charm a song about insomnia.
CWTA - I look forward to reading your recommendations for sleep problems, I'll try anything. Thanks especially for the site to download audio books, I'll give that a try. If you are serious about the knitting try here: http://www.kempswoolshop.com/?gclid=CMm_-ImYkJMCFQZOMAodJGu_Yg as they have Rowan yarn in from 89p per ball!. I got some yesterday and am liiking forward to deciding what to do with it.
Thanks Seaside for the update on Sharon, I do hope the op went well. She told me recently that she has the same type of cancer as my friend who went in for the mastectomy. She is at last out of hospital (12 days after her op) but she has to wait until next week to get the results and prognosis.
Suep I am glad you got out with the mobility scooter - it makes all the difference to get a little indpendence.
I am falling asleep again - so off for a nap .Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

I wasn't so thrilled about going out on the scooter this morning, my arms and shoulders hurt so much from holding them out in front of me, I should have asked the man to move the handle bar bit forward as I saw him doing this for another lady, still I know for next time. Ive been shattered today, but had a friend come round with her 2 little ones, didnt like to cancle as I havnt seen her for ages, so Im off for an early night tonight.
Seaside I know Im a bit late, but thankyou for telling us about Sharons op, I hope it went well.
Raeh Congratulations on winning the comps, I've stopped going on that site, I got sick of all the junk mail despite using a different email addy than my usual one, and then I got a few phone calss as well which really put me off.
Kass Im glad your friend found it was a cyst and had it treaten there and then, it must have been such a frightening time for her.
Im so tired I cant think of anything else to say, Im going to have a quiet day tomorrow hopefully so I should be back to normal soon.Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.
